Lloyd
- This article is about the The Blazing Blade boss. For the Fates boss, see Lloyd (Fates).

“ | Now the commander's sons... Lloyd and Linus? Watching them work was like watching master artisans. The two of them may have done some of those risky stunts. | ” | — Legault, on Lloyd and Linus's talents. |
---|
Lloyd Reed (Japanese: ロイド・リーダス Lloyd Reedus) was a member of the Black Fang, the eldest son of its commander Brendan Reed, and one of the elite Four Fangs of the organization. Along with his brother and fellow Four Fang Linus, Lloyd was tasked with the elimination of the Lycian lords Eliwood, Hector, and Lyn for their continued interference against the plans of Nergal.
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
Role
Tasked with the elimination of Eliwood, Hector and Lyn along with the other Four Fangs, Lloyd and Linus were the first to encounter their group, near the Lycia/Bern border. Depending on the cumulative levels of the player's Lords at the time, Lloyd either confronted them and was defeated with Linus departing to report to headquarters, or Lloyd himself left to file the report while Linus remained behind. If the former case, after his defeat he let the group go and resolved to find the answers to the Black Fang's descent into madness himself, but was killed by Limstella instead.
If the latter case, following Linus's death at Limstella's hands (which he believed to be the work of Eliwood), he led the last remnants of the Black Fang in defending the Shrine of Seals from Eliwood's army, but failed and was killed.
In either case, following his death Lloyd was transformed into a morph by Nergal and used against Eliwood's army again in their final confrontation.

Fire Emblem Heroes
Role
Lloyd was made available to players in the eighth Grand Hero Battle, which initially ran from May 19, 2017 through May 26, 2017. Lloyd is notably the first character made available in a Grand Hero Battle whose data was not in the game at its initial launch, as he was added to the game in the Rite of Shadows update; this was two months after his personal weapon was added to the game in the Blazing Shadows update, which may indicate that either Lloyd may have been intended to debut earlier or that the Regal Blade was intended for someone else. Only one variation of Lloyd is currently available in Heroes, based on his The Blazing Blade incarnation.

Personality and character
Lloyd is the calmer and more level-headed of the two Reed brothers. Though wary of Sonia's influence on his father and the Fang as a whole, he was nonetheless resolved to remain behind with them so as to try to learn the truth of the matter for himself. Following Linus's death, he became depressed and fatalistic, wishing for nothing more than to join his brother in death.
