Miranda joins late in the game at a low level. Her unimpressive base stats make it difficult to train her, and even when trained, she is redundant as a magic user because the game is full with powerful magic users like Asbel, Homer, Linoan and especially Sara, who joins in the same chapter as her and outclasses her in almost everything. Her low HP and defense prevent her from taking on more than a few non-magical enemies on the enemy phase. Her promotion to Mage Knight, while giving her decent bonuses and more mobility outdoors, also causes her to take stat penalties indoors, especially in movement, effectively losing 1 movement space after promotion indoors, although she can still use her tomes. This reduces her utility during the last few maps of the game, all of which take place indoors. Also, while this promotion gives Miranda access to swords, she should not use them due to her low strength and constitution. Miranda makes good use of magic swords, which grant her useful bonuses, but her attacks with them will become physical if she's attacked at 1-range. They also weigh her down due to their weight and poor constitution, which is 3 at base and 4 after promotion: their weight of 9 will reduce her speed by 5. Additionally, Miranda will have difficulty wielding magic swords because she starts with a D-rank in swords after promotion while magic swords require a B-rank. Miranda is also never able to use staves after promotion which gives her less versatility compared to most other mages, limits her ability to support others, and diminishes her viability as staff utility becomes very important towards the end of the game.

For advantages, Miranda does sport high magic and speed growths, a good skill growth and a personal skill of Wrath. While this allows her to deal massive damage when counterattacking, it is limited by her poor durability, which is only slightly better than Sara's. She joins in a chapter that is full with Dark Mages that have the advantage in the Trinity of Magic and the forest hinders her ability to hit, but it can also allow her to dodge better, and she will perform a powerful critical on her first strike if her attack hits. However, the physical enemies will probably kill her as soon as she's attacked by them. She is better suited for attacking enemies on Player Phase, or dealing with groups of magical enemies. She can also become a wielder of Meteor after promotion when trained thanks to her relatively high Fire level, not far from a C rank, which allows to use Elfire. Finally, she gives Conomor a 20% support bonus, increasing his hit rate and chance to get critical hits. However, the player should be careful not to expose her to any enemies when deploying her for this purpose. Overall, while Miranda is not a bad unit by any means, the amount of powerful mages that are present in this game can make her unnecessary.

Miranda is one of the characters added to the game in the Forest of the Sage update, and became available for summoning by players on January 8, 2021. Only one variation of Miranda is currently available in Heroes, based on her Thracia 776 incarnation.

• Miranda's mother Ethnia has the same name as a character mentioned in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. It appears that these are not intended to be the same character according to supplementary materials, such as the Fire Emblem 20th Anniversary Encyclopedia, which keeps them separated as different characters in family tree diagrams.
• According to Thracia 776's website, Miranda was designed to look 14 years old.
