“ | Holding a woman hostage during battle is shameful. You, too, are of Sacae, and I've a mind to show you mercy. I will let you die with a sword in your hands. But rest assured... I will kill you all here. But be of good cheer! In dying, you shall all be spared the calamity that is to come! | ” | — Uhai |

Uhai (Japanese: ウハイ Uhai) is a boss appearing in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. He is a member of the Black Fang, codenamed the Soaring Hawk, who defected from his native Sacae due to his beliefs of Brendan Reed's ideology.
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
Role
During chapter 18 (19 Hector), he is sent by the Black Fang to retrieve the escaped Ninian and as such ambushes the army led by Eliwood, Hector, and fellow Sacaean Lyn, despite knowing the Black Fang was no longer what it once was due to Nergal now being in charge. Upon first appearing, he initially takes Lyn captive, but ultimately lets her go because he wishes for her to die in a more honorable fashion in battle. Uhai is defeated in the battle, but not before giving his opponents directions to the Dragon's Gate, after which the lords all wonder what would have happened had they met him under different circumstances. Sometime afterward, Uhai's quintessence is harvested and brought to Nergal.
Uhai is one of the bosses remanifested as morphs by Nergal in the final chapter; his morph is paired with two generic Sniper morphs in the southeastern room, the first one opened; the player's army eventually defeat Uhai's morph as well as all of the other remanifested morphs in their quest to defeat Nergal, finally putting him to rest.

Personality and character
Uhai holds respect for fellow Sacaens, like Lyn. Like many other Black Fang members, Uhai does not trust Nergal or the changes he has brought to the Fang. Despite his misgivings, he served the Fang to the end, even if he did give Eliwood's group crucial information against the Fang upon his death.
While Uhai himself makes no mention of it, Aion and Teodor appear to have seen Uhai as a rival, or at least an obstacle in their progress as Black Fang members.[1][2]

Trivia
- Uhai's portrait is based off the Sacaen portrait used by several bosses in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade; primarily the clothing is reused with different coloration and he received a unique head.
- Uhai gains an extra point of constitution, and as a mounted unit loses one point of aid, as a morph in the final chapter, a trait no other non-generic morph in the chapter possesses.
- Uhai has a battle quote with Rath in the two prototypes, suggesting Rath may have initially been planned to join Eliwood's party earlier at some point in development.[3]
- In the NTSC English version of The Blazing Blade, the weapon that Uhai drops in the final chapter, Rienfleche, has an erroneous help text description: "Can strike consecutively". As it has no such effect; this was changed in the PAL English version to match that of the other S-rank weapons: "For experienced units only." This error is not present in Rienfleche's Japanese description.
