A Girl from the Plains/Script
A girl named Lyn finds a person unconscious in the plains of Sacae, takes them in and nurtures them back to health. Shortly after the person regains consciousness, bandits arrive to raid the local villages. Lyn and her patient, the latter of whom is revealed to be a tactician by trade, defeat the bandits.
The next morning, Lyn asks to travel with the tactician and explains that her parents and her people – the Lorca – were killed by bandits six months prior. Lyn wants to become stronger so that she may avenge the death of her people. The tactician is swayed by Lyn's passion and allows her to accompany them on their travels. Lyn promises to be the tactician's peerless warrior and the two set off on their journey.

Strategy
Augury | |
---|---|
This chapter has no augury. Hannah will offer her services beginning in Chapter 14. |
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
The first unit you recruit in the game is the lord, Lyn. She performs well in her own tale due to an abundance of inaccurate brigands, but later on her Strength is shaky, her durability is terrible, and she has very little 1-2 range ability, hampering her offensive prowess.
When playing on Normal mode, this chapter is a scripted tutorial. The game will guide the player though every step and explain the basic mechanics of the game including movement, attacking, healing, and seizing the throne. Every player will get the same result, and death is impossible.
On Hard mode, this chapter is no longer a tutorial, and victory is not guaranteed. However, the level is still simple enough to beat. First, it's important to note that when doing a hard reset (i.e. turning off the console and then turning it back on), the GBA Fire Emblem games always begin their RNG sequence in the same position. With knowledge of this sequence or a handy guide, the RNG can be manipulated to ensure favorable results, and a knowledgeable player can even guarantee an S-rank on Lyn's hard mode while still ensuring Chapter 19x pt 2 can be unlocked down the line and using both stat boosters. Starting this map from a hard reset, move Lyn up 3 spaces and left 2 spaces – the Brigand will not be in range to attack you next phase. Then, move five spaces west and ignore the brigand. The brigand will attack next phase, and Lyn will be hit. On turn 3, advance on Batta and attack him - it sounds completely maniacal, but due to the aforementioned RNG, Lyn will always evade his counterstrike. On the enemy phase, Batta will attack and miss while the other Brigand will launch a suicidal attack on Lyn. On turn 4, Lyn can kill Batta and level up, receiving HP, Strength, Speed, and Luck. Then she can seize on turn 5.
Trivia
- When playing on normal mode, there is a glitch that freezes the game. After letting the chapter guide the player through with the scripted events, reset the game after Batta is killed on the next player phase, when Lyn begins to talk. Upon resuming, the game glitches and Lyn vanishes from the map.
- The map used for this chapter is a cropped and edited version of the map used in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade's Tutorial, though in-universe these are not the same locations.
