Kaim (Japanese: カイム ) is the ghostly leader of the guardians of a cave in the Western Isles guarding the Armads, and the boss of chapter 30 in Hector's tale of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. Kaim's role is to test anyone potentially worthy of wielding the Armads, and as such faces Hector and two others of the player's choosing. Kaim is eventually defeated by Hector and his allies, and in the process deeming Hector worthy of the Armads.
Based on his death quote, Kaim may have served Durban, the founder of the Western Isles where the trial takes place, while he was alive.
