Plot
- Main article: Another Journey/Script
A year has passed since Lyn defeated Lundgren and saved her grandfather as well as the rest of Caelin. Marquess Pherae, Eliwood's father, has disappeared; Hector, the younger brother of Marquess Ostia, demands that his brother act upon their reasonable suspicions of Marquess Laus's connection to the incident, but Uther refuses, and Hector to angrily storms off to take matters into his own hands. Elsewhere in the palace, Hector calls out to Matthew, who has made the necessary preparations for Hector to sneak out of the palace and rendezvous with Eliwood without Uther knowing. Matthew requests to accompany Hector on his journey, but Hector denies his request, refusing to trust one of his brother's spies; Matthew then appears to leave. Before Hector is able to depart, he discovers soldiers of the Black Fang have infiltrated Castle Ostia. Matthew re-appears to aid Hector in exiting the caslte while taking care of the invaders.
After Wire is defeated, if Matthew is alive, he reveals that he knew of the assassins' presence all along and was only so quick to acquiesce to Hector to draw them out and defeat them; Hector allows Matthew to accompany him on the condition that Matthew swears loyalty to him as opposed to his brother. If Matthew was killed, Hector is unnerved by Matthew's death, but feels he cannot afford to mourn, and continues on to meet Eliwood.
Inside Castle Ostia, a guardsman informs Uther that Hector has been spotted departing from the castle; Uther, however, sends no one to force him back to the palace. Rather, he asks Oswin to accompany Hector on his journey, which Oswin undertakes.

Strategy
Augury
|
This chapter has no augury. Hannah will offer her services beginning in Chapter 14.
|
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
As there are neither enemy thieves nor enemies carrying door keys on the map, you're more or less able to control the flow of enemy units in the level by selectively opening doors. The quickest way to clear the chapter is by breaking down the nearest wall and moving westward from the starting position. This also allows you easy access to the Red Gem in the nearby chest. Unless Matthew received a significant experience investment in Lyn's tale he will likely be unable to deal any damage to the knights in this chapter, and is better off taking out enemy archers. Hector's Wolf Beil will make easy work of enemy knights and will have an advantage against the lance-wielding soldiers. If you find yourself low on HP, you can have Matthew steal a vulnerary from Wire or one of the archers. Also remember that you can stand on pillars for a defensive bonus, which complements Matthew's ability to avoid attacks given his high speed. The boss of the chapter, Wire, will stand his ground, but you are essentially forced to KO him using the Wolf Beil unless you intend to wear out your Hand Axe, which deals minimal damage per turn.
