The Griffin Knight or Griffon Rider (Japanese: グリフォンナイト Griffon Knight) is an advanced flying class debuting in Fire Emblem Awakening.

In Awakening, it is one of the branch class change options for the Wyvern Rider, exclusively wielding axes and introducing a completely new flying mount: the griffin. Compared to the alternative option, the Wyvern Lord, the Griffon Rider possesses slightly lower offensive and defensive capabilities, in exchange for slightly greater skill and speed.

In Engage, it is one of the two options for promotion for Sword Fliers, Lance Fliers, and Axe Fliers, with the other option being the Wyvern Knight. This iteration of the class gains access to staves and emphasizes high speed and resistance, making it an analogue to the Falcon Knight of previous entries.
