“ | Our world will eventually be blanketed in darkness. If we don't stand up now, the world will fall to the dark god Lopt. Please, Lifis, we need your help! I want you to fight for Tarrah, and for the future of our world! | ” | — Safy to Lifis in Chapter 2x |

Safy (Japanese: サフィ Safy) is a playable priest in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. She is a servant of Linoan[1] sent from Tarrah to look for people willing to stand up to the Grannvale Empire.
Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
Role
Safy was sent on a mission by Linoan to gather supporters against the Grannvale Empire. She ended up kidnapped by Lifis's Pirates. During Chapter 2x she is rescued by the Fiana Freeblades. Afterwards she decides to accompany the group to continue gathering supporters against the Empire.
When Leif is captured by the Empire in Chapter 3 Safy manages to avoid imprisonment and escapes with the other Freeblades to elsewhere. Later, when the Freeblades are captured under suspicion of banditry by Hannibal's guard, Finn and Safy manage to escape and reunite with Leif as he flees Munster. If Safy speaks with Shiva before escaping with Leif back to Hannibal he agrees to accompany the Fiana Freeblades and her from then on.
During Chapter 12x Safy reunites with her younger sister Tina in the base of the Dandelion Bandits; Tina was kidnapped by the bandits. Safy scolds Tina for leaving Tarrah alone but is happy to see her nonetheless.
Safy accompanies Leif's liberation army until at least the liberation of Munster. Her involvement, if any, with the war after Leif's forces merged with Seliph's is unknown, as she does not appear in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Safy is the first healer available in Thracia 776, joining in Chapter 3, where she then becomes unavailable until Chapter 7. As the first healer available, she offers exclusive staff utility; she also joins with a Repair staff that is exclusive to her. Because of the exorbitant amount of powerful personal weapons and staves in Thracia and the need to capture or steal stronger weapons from enemies, Safy is an invaluable unit throughout the game.
Due to her high availability, Safy can reliably reach an A rank in staves and be the first user of the Warp staff, which has infinite range in Thracia. Combined with her +3 magic upon promotion and her 60% magic growth—which can be improved further through scrolls—Safy can reliably inflict status ailments on most enemies; additionally, while Safy does not have any combat capabilities at first, she gains access to light magic upon promotion, and due to the low quality of most enemies in Thracia, she can be used as a decent combat unit.
Safy is not without flaws. Her mobility is very low, so she will fall behind the army and be unable to offer ranged healing without the Fortify or Physic staves. She also may miss with her staves, though she will on average reach 10 skill after nine levels, where she will maximize her accuracy with staves. While she has the highest strength growth out of the spellcasters in the game, it is completely useless for her since magic users cannot make use of said stat until Path of Radiance, where strength is used instead of constitution for attack speed calculations in said game. Also, regardless of constitution, mages will have their speed reduced by an amount equal to the tomes's weight, ignoring the usual formula for attack speed. Her low base HP and 0 defense mean that she will get one-shot by most enemy units, and she will get fatigued quicker. She can be left without any weapons to tempt enemies into capturing her, but any items must then be taken back from her captor, and failing to rescue her will render her unavailable until Chapter 21x when she may be re-recruited, by which point she may be completely outshined by multiple other staff-users.
Personality and character
Safy is a devout individual dedicated to her charge Linoan. She tends to be concerned for her younger sister's well-bring; Tina tends to be oblivious and wander off. When Tina tells Safy about the horrible things Perne did to her she is initially very concerned, though she becomes incredulous when Tina says the only thing Perne did to her was put bugs on her face.
