The Voice is defenseless in this state. We must become her shield until the rite is complete. We await your strategy, Robin. Make us as a wall of steel!

The Threat of Silence is the seventeenth paralogue chapter in Fire Emblem Awakening. As a paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. In this chapter, Tiki is performing a ritual that will channel Naga's power into her at a very inopportune time--a band of Risen show up during the ritual. It is up to the Shepherds to protect Tiki from the Risen and ensure the ritual is completed.
Plot
- Main article: The Threat of Silence/Script
The Shepherds arrive at a location called Naga's Cradle, and Say'ri explains that Tiki can perform a rite there to regain her power. As Tiki focuses on the rite, Chrom notices Risen, and orders the Shepherds to defend her.
After the battle, if Tiki survived, she awakens and confirms the rite was successful, and vows to help the Shepherds in their cause to improve the world. If Tiki did not survive, Say'ri laments her death, and Chrom urges Say'ri to bring peace to the world for her sake.

Character data
Note: The returning characters list only those recruited by the time this chapter is unlocked. As a paralogue chapter, there is no set timeframe in which the chapter must be taken on; thus, it is possible to have recruited more characters than the above by the point the chapter is started. The returning characters list also does not include any characters recruitable in other paralogues, as the player may not have taken on any other available paralogue chapters yet. The list also does not include any bonus units, as they are recruitable at the player's discretion.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
All enemies in this chapter will make a beeline for Tiki to kill her whenever possible—if a playable unit is in the way, they will simply fly around them to reach her. Ultimately, the best strategy for keeping Tiki safe is to form a diamond-shaped or triangle-shaped barrier of units around her. Each unit should be placed at least two spaces from her instead of adjacent to her, so that she may not be targeted by ranged weapons. A triangle formation can give you more space within for support units to maneuver; this can allow for healers to keep the team healthy outside of enemy range with Physic.
