Vasto is a Plegian troop captain and the boss of chapter 7 of Fire Emblem Awakening. Vasto was instructed to take a Ylissean hierarch into protection, but chooses to go back on those instructions and has one of his subordinates kill the hierarch. Attempting to secure the Fire Emblem and Emmeryn, he takes on Chrom and the Shepherds. Although he eventually falls to the Shepherds, he does use his dying words to warn them of an impending Plegian invasion.
