Gyral (Japanese: ジラル Gyral) is the leader of the Stonewall Knights, one of the two factions fighting over Law's End, a town in southwestern Plegia. Depending on the player's choice, Gyral can be either an NPC partner in, the sole boss of, or one of two bosses of paralogue 13 of Fire Emblem Awakening.
Gyral and his knights have been locked in a fierce rivalry with Dalen and his Riders of Dawn, and the sides are preparing to fight again as Chrom and the Shepherds arrive. The dangers of the rivalry are said to endanger the villages, despite the fact that some villagers support the Stonewall Knights. It is Gyral's group that has recruited Yarne into their ranks.
Depending on the player's choice, Gyral can either be targeted by a combination of the Shepherds and the Riders of Dawn, ally with the Shepherds and target Dalen, or even team up with Dalen and take on the Shepherds. If Gyral is made an enemy of the Shepherds, he will eventually be defeated by them; if Gyral is made an ally of the Shepherds, he can potentially survive.
