Valm

Valm (Japanese: ヴァルム Warm) is an empire which has existed at two different points in history. At both times, it covered the entirety of the continent of Valentia, later itself renamed Valm after the empire.

The original incarnation of the Valm Empire was founded at the conclusion of the ZofiaRigel war of 607–608 Archanean/401–402 Valentian, with the unification of the two nations by the marriage of their surviving royals: Alm of Rigel and Celica of Zofia, the two heroes of the war. The unified nation was named the One Kingdom of Valentia, later renamed, along with the continent itself, by the empire's second king. In the intervening centuries, the empire fragmented into numerous smaller nations, including Chon'sin and Rosanne.

In the era of Chrom, the second incarnation of the Valm Empire was formed by Walhart, who reunified the continent into one nation through brutal conquest. Walhart was motivated to resurrect the united empire by the threat of Plegia, the Grimleal and the potential return of Grima, and from there sought to invade the Ylisse continent to prevent the fulfillment of Validar's ambitions. However Walhart fell under the manipulation of Excellus, who was secretly a member of the Grimleal.[1]
