Nelson (Japanese: ネルソン) is a former Valmese general and the boss of paralogue 10 of Fire Emblem Awakening. Nelson leads his band of unidentifiable bandits in defense of a mercenary fortress on the northern half of an island off the west coast of Plegia. Aware of the arrival of Chrom and the Shepherds, he desires the Fire Emblem for himself. He is able to blackmail Severa into working with him by holding onto something of hers as well as keeping an unwilling villager named Holland working for him as well. By the time the skirmish begins, Severa has made her decision to stop working for Nelson, attempt to recover her lost property, and try to convince Holland to do the same. Nelson is eventually defeated by the Shepherds.
