Forging Bonds (Japanese: 想いを集めて Gathering Thoughts) is a game mode in Fire Emblem Heroes. During Forging Bonds events, players clear stages in order to receive rewards in the form of conversations with units, Hero Feathers, Badges, Divine Dew and accessories.

Overview

First-run Forging Bonds events typically last for two weeks; rerun events typically last for one week, with friendship goals and reward plateaus roughly halved accordingly. The goal is to boost friendship with specified event characters through battling. The amount of friendship earned can be increased by wearing specified bonus accessories, some of which are earned throughout the event.

There are three difficulties of battle: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, with the amount of friendship earned increasing with the difficulty. The player's team of four units faces a random four units on a random map.

• Illuminating the Path was initially misnamed "Life & Death Finale" in the in-game notification associated with the reveal trailer for the event's associated Askr and Embla update, with the correct name debuting on the Heroes official Twitter account; the erroneous name had already been associated with an as-yet undated future edition of the Tempest Trials+ at the time.
