“ | No—I'm a swordswoman, a Myrmidon, like my mother before me! I'm the daughter of Eyvel of Fiana! No mere bandit could defeat me! | ” | — Mareeta |
---|
Mareeta (Japanese: マリータ Mareeta) is a princess of the fallen Rivough nobility of Isaach, the daughter of its Prince Galzus and a full-blooded descendant of the Crusader Od.
As a child, she was abducted by slave traders in Conote and separated from Galzus, and was rescued and adopted by the mercenary Eyvel and lived with her in the Thracian village of Fiana. As a member of Eyvel's Fiana Freeblades, she helped to fight bandit aggression across Thracia's east coast, until she and her friend Nanna were abducted by Raydrik of Manster, sparking the rise of Leif's revolution army.
Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
Role
Mareeta and Nanna appear during the opening of Chapter 1: The Warrior of Fiana being abducted by Raydrik. Her abduction spurs Leif and Eyvel to journey to Manster to rescue the pair.
A while later, during Chapter 5: Mother and Child, Mareeta is seen again in Manster during Leif's escape of the castle. Nanna and Eyvel are trapped in a large open room with several enemy combatants. Raydrik tells Eyvel that she may see her daughter again if the opponents are defeated. After Eyvel defeats the opponents, Raydrik lets Mareeta into the ring. Unfortunately, Mareeta is under the control of a cursed sword and attacks Eyvel. It is possible, though unlikely, for Mareeta to die here; this will only occur if the player forces Eyvel to attack Mareeta. Once Leif opens the entrance to the arena, Veld and Raydrik, who were spectating the fighting, leave the area, taking Mareeta and a now petrified Eyvel with them.
During Chapter 6: The Escape Galzus, working as a mercenary in Manster, rescues Mareeta from Raydrik and hands her over to Saias. Galzus asks the bishop to heal her, and denies knowing her when asked.[1]
Several chapters later, during Chapter 12: The Thieves of Dakia, Mareeta has been saved from the curse by Saias. Saias gives her the Shadow Sword, now purified and named Mareeta's Sword, and reassures her that it wasn't her fault for attacking Eyvel and that she should move on. After Saias's departure, bandits happen upon the house and woman she was left in, and she goes out to drive them off. In a turn of good fortune, Leif's forces happen to be in the area and she rejoins with them at this point.
If Eyvel is rescued during Chapter 24x: The Lopt Altar the pair reunite and Mareeta tells the disoriented Eyvel that she has been petrified and that Raydrik was defeated.
Mareeta's actions after Leif's forces merged with Seliph's are unknown, as he does not appear in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.

Fire Emblem Heroes
Role
Mareeta was first made available to be summoned by players on May 10, 2019 in a special Shadow Sword-corrupted variation as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the A Home Unknown update. The aforementioned corrupted variation of Mareeta is the only one currently available in Heroes, based on her Thracia 776 incarnation. Mareeta is one of a rare number of characters to have been made available only as a special variation without a normal variation of them available (no files at all exist in the game for their regular versions), and an even rarer number available in the regular summoning pool.
Starting stats
- Mareeta: The Blade's Pawn is only available at 5★ rarity.

Mareeta, Blade of Moon and Star
Still ashamed of her lack of discipline for having been possessed by the Shadow Sword, Mareeta embarked on a journey to train and better herself—alone. Before long, she grew into a formidable swordswoman, one whose name was known throughout the continent. But no matter how well-known she became, she would always say, "I'm nothing compared to my mother."
