Why is such a simple task taking you so long? There's little doubt that the heir to House Leonster is hiding here. You've been too gentle with these villagers—give them ample motivation to talk.

• The furthest eastern and northwestern ones do not move; they stand on houses. • The one on the vendor moves to attack if he could attack a unit with half his movement (rounded down); he returns to his starting position and does not act otherwise. • The other three do not act until they could move to be adjacent to a player unit if their movement were increased by one third (rounded down), at which point they begin moving unprovoked.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
From as early as the first chapter, you get access to Eyvel, a level 12 Swordmaster, and Dagdar, a level 6 Warrior. To refrain from using either of these units is a grave mistake, since enemies in Thracia 776 typically come in great quantities and it is very easy to get overwhelmed if a unit isn't strong enough. But first things first: Osian should head to the bottom village to obtain his personal weapon, the Vouge. Leif, Finn, and Eyvel should head into the village and clear out the enemy soldiers, and Halvan should head to the eastermost village to pick up the Brave Axe. If you would like to visit other houses with Finn or Dagdar, feel free. The boss is easy enough to ORKO with Eyvel and her Flame Sword.
You may consider capturing enemy units to obtain their items and possibly sell them for gold later, but it is important not to get too used to it or you may end up tiring yourself out. There are plenty of items in the game to go around: just get what you need.
