That fortress, Kelbeth's Gate, guards the road into Munster. As strongholds go, it's rather small, but don't let its size fool you: the people of this area say it's more terrible than Hell itself.

— August to Leif
|
Kelbeth's Gate (Japanese: ケルベスの門 Gate of Kelbeth) is the third chapter of Fire Emblem: Thracia 776.
Plot
- Main article: Kelbeth's Gate/Script
Raydrik arrives at the Gate of Kelbeth, where a stronghold has been set up to facilitate the Loptrian child hunts. He decides to recuperate there, leaving the fort in the hands of Lobos. Meanwhile, Leif arrives and learns about the child hunts. He immediately vows to rescue the children, and August departs for Munster. Leif kills Robos and seizes the fort, but Raydrik appears and forces him and Eyvel to surrender by using Nanna as a hostage. Leif's friends are forced to retreat, and they vow to rescue him as soon as possible.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
Regarding the chapter itself, be sure to carry some door keys to enter the building—the vendor to the north sells keys. There is a room with children that can be brought to their individual homes to receive a reward in return; the reward for returning two particular children can be received later: Coirpre for a Warp staff, and Jubel to recruit Dalsin. Brigands will attack the villages, though, so work quickly.
Lobos is not too difficult, so simply take him out, take advantage of Thracia 776's trading mechanic, and seize the throne.
This is the last chapter before your units are scattered and you are forced to reconvene bit by bit, so be sure each unit has the items you would like them to have before Leif seizes the throne.
If any of these units are dead or weren't recruited, they will not show up in their respective rejoining chapters.
Trivia
- Jubel (Japanese: ユベル), the name of one of the four children, appears to be a reference to Jubelo (Japanese: ユベロ), a playable character in Mystery of the Emblem.
