Armorslayer
| ||||
|
The Armorslayer (Japanese: アーマーキラー Armor Killer) is a sword-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series. This sword deals extra damage against armored units, such as knights and generals, which, together with its low weapon level, makes it a quite valuable weapon when battling armies. It began light, but it has become a somewhat heavy weapon with each new appearance, reaching a quite surprising weight of 17 in Path of Radiance.
The armorslayer first appeared in Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, and it has since been in all games but Gaiden, Radiant Dawn, and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

Trivia
- Despite Armorslayers not actually being an item in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, they are mentioned in the bonus damage tutorial.[1]
- This item's name from Genealogy of the Holy War, ざんてつの剣, was used as the basis for Fire Emblem Warriors' Ironbanestone's Japanese name, 斬鉄の竜石 (斬鉄 and ざんてつ are the same words, but written in different scripts). The Armorslayer itself uses the traditional アーマーキラー name in Warriors.
