I'm leaving the rest to you. With all these troops, I trust you won’t fail. Hunt down the bandits and kill them all. Give them what they deserve for making our people suffer!
— Travant to Merlock

Merlock (Japanese: マーロック Merlock) is a boss appearing in Chapter 9 of Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is a knight working under Travant, the king of Thracia.

Fire Emblem: Thracia 776

Merlock is deployed by Travant during Chapter 9 to kill the bandits reported in the region. Merlock attacks Leif's forces, mistaking them for the bandits.

It is possible that Merlock is killed by Leif's forces, though if Leif's forces swiftly retreat to Hannibal's mansion while Merlock is still alive Altena arrives with a report that the people inhabiting the mansion are not bandits and has Merlock's forces stand down.[1]

Personality and character

As a minor boss Merlock has little dialogue and few obvious character traits. He appears to be a loyal knight of Thracia.

Battle quotes

You... You're not bandits! Who are you?
— Merlock

Death quotes

Forgive me...your Majesty...
— Merlock when killed
...What am I going to tell the king...
— Merlock when captured and released; this is unused as he cannot be captured due to being a mounted unit before the sleep staff is available.

  1. "Reporting to all Thracian troops! This is the princess, Altena speaking. An emergency notice just arrived from General Hannibal. The people occupying this mansion are not bandits. They are mercenaries that General Hannibal himself hired to protect the people in this area from bandit attacks. Halt your attacks and retreat at once!" — Altena, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
