Michalis (pronounced /mɪˈkeɪlɪs/[key][1]; Japanese: ミシェイル Misheil) is the king of Macedon, and the elder brother of Minerva and Maria. He appears as a boss in Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, Book 1 of Mystery of the Emblem, and Shadow Dragon, as an NPC in Mystery of the Emblem Book 2, and as a playable character in New Mystery of the Emblem.
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light
Role
Prior to the events of the War of Shadows, Michalis assassinated his father, Osmond, and led Macedon into an alliance with the Dolhr Empire. Knowing that his sister Minerva would refuse to accept such an alliance, he had Dolhr take Maria as a hostage to ensure Minerva's subordination. Despite several warnings from Gotoh that he risked destroying both Macedon and his family, he refused to back down, and led his army of dracoknights into battle against the Archanean League, where he was defeated.
