Meeting (Japanese: 出会い Encounter) is the first chapter in the prologue of Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem.
Plot

Three years after the conclusion of the War of Shadows, a young knight wannabe named Kris arrives at Altea Castle to begin knight training and quickly befriends a prospective strategist named Katarina. The veteran knight in charge of training, Jagen, instructs the candidates to pair off and face real Altean knights in mock combat. Kris partners with Katarina and successfully defeats Jagen. Afterwards, the two listen to a speech by Marth thanking them for lending him their strength.
