Marth and Kris are informed by Jagen that the leader of the assassins, Eremiya, is in an orphanage in Archanea. They go there, and with Katarina's help, they find their way into the dark rooms of the building. Katarina remarks that all the children were raised in the darkness, with no will of their own. Eremiya expresses her surprise that Katarina has become free, and orders her minions to attack.
After Eremiya is defeated, Jagen says that, according to locals, Eremiya used to be a kind bishop that took care of children in her orphanage. During the war, the orphanage was destroyed and all the children were killed. Kris and Marth express their relief that no children will be made into war machines anymore. Later, Gharnef shows up, scolding Eremiya for failing to kill Marth. He tells Eremiya that he cast a spell on her. He told her that if no children were to be killed anymore, she would have to make them strong and subject them to brutal training. He taunts Eremiya some more, who then breaks down into tears.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
In order to access this chapter, the player must have completed the Binding Shield in the previous chapter; they must also have recruited and kept alive at least three of Wolf, Sedgar, Vyland, Roshea, and Midia, or they must clear the previous chapter in a certain number of turns. The turn count of the latter requirement varies by difficulty, as follows:
Difficulty | Turn Count |
---|---|
Normal | 24 |
Hard | 28 |
Maniac | 33 |
Lunatic | 38 |
Lunatic′ | 43 |
Like Chapter 13x, this chapter has fog of war, where any unit can not see more than two tiles ahead of them, including Thieves. All the enemies can see through the fog, so they can approach and attack you from the darkness. All the Snipers have Longbows, so to avoid taking damage, a unit has to stay away from the walls. Units with low defensive stats are especially vulnerable, since Eremiya will also launch the Meteor spell at you if you go past the first choke point General. There are also multiple Generals guarding Eremiya, who move once you get into their range. It is probably prudent to use armorslaying weapons, along with a Barrier or Pure Water to guard against Eremiya's attacks.
