Osian joins as early as chapter 1, but due to story reasons won't be available from chapter 4-7. Osian comes with average base stats and growths, along with a decent FCM of 3. This is not a problem as the enemy quality of most enemies in ''Thracia'' is low and axes give Osian the additional power necessary to secure kills, upon promotion he also gets access to swords which are vastly more accurate and can even make him a fairly decent boss killer. However, those aren't Osian's notable traits. Osian joins with [[Wrath]], an incredibly powerful skill which allows him to get a critical hit whenever he counterattacks. Due to the enemy phased nature of some chapters in ''Thracia 776'', this skill is extremely useful as it is unlikely any enemy, besides bosses, will survive a critical hit form a powerful attacker like Osian. And his second notable trait is his personal axe, the [[Vouge]]. The Vouge is one of the best weapons in the game, having high might, hit, a very high 30% crit, 1-2 range and an incredible 60 uses. As most 1-2 range physical weapons are quite bad in ''Thracia 776'' Osian stands out as being one of the few units with consistently good physical 1-2 range as early as the first chapter of the game. Osian is also a decent unit for capturing enemies due to his high constitution, though not as good as Dagdar. Osian does have some flaws: he has low magic which makes him fall prey to enemy status staves and magical attacks, his accuracy may be a bit shaky although this is fixable with the use of the Od Scroll, and his combat is not as notable later in the game. | Osian joins as early as chapter 1, but due to story reasons won't be available from chapter 4-7. Overall, despite a few notable flaws, Osian has some of the best combat in the game and is able to function well on both outdoor and indoor chapters. While his combat is mostly notable because of the Vouge and Wrath, Osian's ability to combine the two make him a standout combat unit through the entire game. | Overall, despite a few notable flaws, Osian has some of the best combat in the game and is able to function well on both outdoor and indoor chapters. Osian (Japanese: オーシン Othin) is a warrior from Fiana Village in Thracia, and a member of Eyvel's Fiana Freeblades.
Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
Role
Osian was with the Freeblades on a job outside Fiana when it fell under attack by the forces of Munster under the command of Weissmann, during which Nanna and Mareeta were kidnapped by Raydrik. With the Freeblades, Osian drove the Munster army out of Fiana before leaving with Leif and Eyvel to rescue them. Although he was separated from Leif after their assault on the Kelbeth fortress, Osian and the rest of the Freeblades regrouped with him following Leif's escape from Munster, and he continued to serve as the Fiana Freeblades evolved into Leif's liberation army.
Starting stats and growth rates
|
|
As with most of the rest of Leif's party, Osian is forced to temporarily leave after Chapter 3, if he is still alive and has not been captured at that point. He automatically rejoins the party at the beginning of Chapter 8.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Osian joins as early as chapter 1, but due to story reasons won't be available from chapter 4-7. Osian comes with average base stats and growths, along with a decent FCM of 3. This is not a problem as the enemy quality of most enemies in Thracia is low and axes give Osian the additional power necessary to secure kills, upon promotion he also gets access to swords which are vastly more accurate and can even make him a fairly decent boss killer. However, those aren't Osian's notable traits. Osian joins with Wrath, an incredibly powerful skill which allows him to get a critical hit whenever he counterattacks. Due to the enemy phased nature of some chapters in Thracia 776, this skill is extremely useful as it is unlikely any enemy, besides bosses, will survive a critical hit form a powerful attacker like Osian. And his second notable trait is his personal axe, the Vouge. The Vouge is one of the best weapons in the game, having high might, hit, a very high 30% crit, 1-2 range and an incredible 60 uses. As most 1-2 range physical weapons are quite bad in Thracia 776 Osian stands out as being one of the few units with consistently good physical 1-2 range as early as the first chapter of the game.
Overall, despite a few notable flaws, Osian has some of the best combat in the game and is able to function well on both outdoor and indoor chapters. While his combat is mostly notable because of the Vouge and Wrath, Osian's ability to combine the two make him a standout combat unit through the entire game.
