Fire Emblem: Thracia 776

Weismann is a soldier serving Raydrik. In chapter 1, he captures some villagers of Fiana to interrogate them on the location of Leif, but Leif and the rest of the Fiana Freeblades were away fighting pirates. He also captured Finn's daughter Nanna and Eyvel's adopted daughter Mareeta in an attempt to force him out of hiding from Munster. He is defeated by the Freeblades (who had returned), but Nanna and Mareeta were taken back to Munster by Raydrik.

Language Name Definition, etymology, and notes

"Weisman" is used in the most recent, up-to-date version of the fan translation patch, with older versions using "Wiseman", and "Weissman" also common among the fandom outside the fan translation patches.

"Weisman" and "Weissmann" appear to be an attempt to make the name less "English" so as to not seem like his name is just a common word. Weissmann (alternatively spelled Weismann, Weißmann, and other variants) is a German surname meaning "white man";[1] one of its spelling variants, Weismann, also has an additional origin as a surname meaning "wise man".[2]

Wiseman. Wiseman is a surname of English origin meaning "wise man", or an Americanization of the above German surname(s).[3]
