analysis | analysis | ||
Python is an | Python is an Archer that joins near the end of Act 1. Python has somewhat low bases even when taking into account his fairly good availability, but he has fairly decent growths, particularly in attack and speed growth. However, Python struggles in one very important area: he has very low base skill and growth in said area, making his hit rates very shaky at often around 50%. Python also joins at a fairly low level and is mostly relegated to dealing chip damage so he will need to wait quite some time to promote to Sniper. He will likely be able to promote at some point during Act 3, which will raise his stats and range with his bows. It can be a good idea to give Python the Iron Bow, which will teach him the Curved Shot combat art to significantly boost his hit rate. | ||
Through forging in Act 3, the player can obtain a Killer Bow, a very useful weapon that can be created from the Steel Bow obtained in Act 1 if the player forges it for him. In addition to its respectable accuracy and high critical rate, through using it Python can learn the combat art Hunter's Volley. Hunter's Volley has the effect of always allowing its user to attack twice in a row from a long distance. With its extra boosts to attack and critical rate, this art allows Python to deal great damage to most enemies, or even likely one-round them if he lands a critical hit. Thanks to this, Python can become one of the strongest combat units in Alm's army, and will be a great counter to enemy Archers and Arcanists, among other enemy types. Afterwards, Python will be able to promote to Bow Knight, which will significantly boost his movement, allowing him to hit many far off enemies without them being able to counterattack. | |||
Overall, Python has a fairly shaky start, with his somewhat mediocre bases and low skill making his hit inconsistent. However, after promotion and after getting the Killer Bow his combat will vastly improve and Python will be able to make many annoying sections much more managable. Still, Python does require some notable investment and he will likely still be worse than your villager archer, but it | Overall, Python has a fairly shaky start, with his somewhat mediocre bases and low skill making his hit inconsistent. However, after promotion and after getting the Killer Bow his combat will vastly improve and Python will be able to make many annoying sections much more managable. Still, Python does require some notable investment and he will likely still be worse than your villager archer, but it is a good idea to use both just because of the overall utility and power that come from bow users and Hunter's Volley. | ||

“ | The only reason I joined the army was because it pays better. The world can rot so long as I've still got food on the table. | ” | — Python |
---|
Python (Japanese: パイソン Paison) is a Zofian archer appearing in Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. He is a member of the Zofian Deliverance.
Fire Emblem Gaiden
Role
Python at first doesn't allow Alm and friends to enter the Deliverance Hideout. However, it was explained to him that they were new recruits. He allows them to enter, and tells them to be careful of the monsters within. After Alm returns with Clive, he agrees to help them with liberating Zofia Castle.

- In Gaiden, promotion gains give the character as many points as necessary—the "x" value shown in the table—to reach the promoted class' base stats. If the character's stats are higher than their promoted class' base stats, they will not receive any bonus; however, if all stats are higher, then they will receive +1 to HP.

- In Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, promotion gains give the character as many points as necessary—the "x" value shown in the table—to reach the promoted class' base stats. If the character's stats are higher than their promoted class' base stats, they will not receive any bonus; however, if all stats are higher, then they will receive +1 to HP.
Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Python is an Archer that joins near the end of Act 1.
Still, Python does require some notable investment and he will likely still be worse than your villager archer, but it is a good idea to use both just because of the overall utility and power that come from bow users and Hunter's Volley.

Personality
This section has been marked as a stub. Please help improve the page by adding information.
Python is somewhat apathetic to the world around him, and only joined the Deliverance due to superior pay to his previous carpentry job[1] in addition to Forsyth's insistence.[2] Python and Forsyth have known each other since childhood; Python thinks of Forsyth as a, perhaps naive, dreamer.[3] Python, however, prefers to take a more objective view on life, and pays little heed to dreams and instead focuses on obtaining necessities.[4]

Ending
Gaiden
In order to protect villages from plundering bandits, he put all his effort into serving as the captain of a vigilante group.
Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
If Forsyth survived
While the One Kingdom offered him a knighthood, Python chose a quieter life as head of a frontier militia that defended villages and towns from brigands. His old friend would visit now and then, often with a bottle the two would use to wile the night away.
If Forsyth died
Python accepted a knighthood from the One Kingdom, growing into a new man who worked diligently—almost as if possessed by Forsyth. Sadly, he died a few short years later while fighting to suppress a rebellion, his wounds claiming him while he was far too young.
