Faye (Japanese: エフィ Efi) is a villager from Ram appearing in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. She was not present in Fire Emblem Gaiden and is a new addition to the cast introduced in the remake. She adores her childhood friend Alm to a somewhat extreme degree.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
Role
Faye is a villager that joins Alm at the start of his journey. She did not exist in Fire Emblem Gaiden, and is a new character introduced in the remake.
As a new female villager unit, she has access to other classes the male villager units do not; these classes are falcon knight and cleric. She also can become a cavalier or mage, class change options shared with male villager units, though she promotes from mage to priestess, while the male villager units will instead promote to sages if any of them become mages.

Role
Faye is one of the characters added to the game in the World of Shadows update, and became available for summoning by players on April 14, 2017. Only one variation of Faye is currently available in Heroes, based on her Echoes: Shadows of Valentia incarnation.
Faye is the first character added to Heroes not specifically designed for the game to appear in Heroes before the game they were designed for; this also makes Faye one of only two characters designed for a main Fire Emblem series game to appear in a game outside the main series prior to the game they were initially designed for (the other being Roy).

Personality and character
Faye has an unhealthy and strong attachment to Alm, and focuses most if not all her time thinking about or trying to do something with him. Faye joins the Deliverance for one reason; to be near Alm. Unfortunately for her, Alm does not return her feelings, being confused and somewhat concerned by her obsession with him. After the war's conclusion Faye resumes her quiet life in Ram and marries. She eventually develops habits that worry her family, such as vanishing unexpectedly for days at a time. These odd habits are presumably related to lingering feelings for Alm.
Faye is somewhat suspicious and jealous of Celica, and is pleased about the fight between Alm and Celica at the start of Act 3, and uses the opportunity to tell Alm that she knows and understands him better than Celica. Her negative attitude towards Celica has existed since childhood, and is additionally reflected in her bond support which is one-sided; Celica receives bonuses from Faye, though Faye does not receive bonuses from Celica. However, she does not completely hate Celica, and is even willing to join and fight alongside her if Alm leaves her in Ram Village.
Silque attempts to make friends with Faye, as they are two of the few girls in Alm's group, but Faye brushes her off, desiring only to talk about Alm. Silque later offers to talk about Alm, but she still refuses, citing the lack of Alm's immediate presence. For a time, Silque gives up on trying to interact with Faye. Faye eventually relents after realizing how lonely she is in the group and tells Silque that she hadn't realized how lonely she had been until Silque had stopped talking to her.

Ending
Unable to get Alm out of her mind, Faye returned to her old life in Ram Village. Eventually, she met and married a suitor who claimed he did not mind her pining for the king, though her habit of vanishing without notice for days at a time continued to worry her new family.
