The Rite of Blades
This page has been marked as a stub. Please help improve the page by adding information. |
The Rite of Blades (Japanese: 刃の儀式 Ritual of blades) is the second intermission chapter of Book I in Fire Emblem Heroes, the first chapter chronologically released in the game's Book II era, and the last chapter along Book I's main story path, although it is not numbered as such. Despite being a main story chapter, it is structured more along the lines of a xenologue in that it has only one part, at least in English named the same as the chapter itself. This chapter serves as a backstory to the Weapon Refinery mechanic, and must be cleared in order to access said mechanic; it also serves as a bridge into Book II's story by introducing the player to names signature to the Book II story.

The Rite of Blades/Script
As Kiran is sleeping, they are spoken to by a woman named, Gunnthrá, the eldest princess of the Kingdom of Ice, Nifl. After asking if Kiran knows of her sister Fjorm, Gunnthrá tells them about a shrine in Askr further west of the one previously visited.
The next day, the Order of Heroes find the shrine, as was told in Kiran's dream. Inside the shrine, the Order finds another stone slab with ancient text engraved on it, like the one in the previous shrine. Alfonse once again reads the text, telling of the Rite of Awakening for Embla which will empower weapons. Anna gives the order to return to base so that the rite may be put to use.

Trivia
- The weapon skills featured on the enemy units in this chapter are Heroes-originated advanced forms of regalia that originally debuted on other characters (Roy: Brave Lion for Blazing Durandal, Sonya for Dark Excalibur, Delthea for Dark Aura, Sigurd for Divine Tyrfing, and Deirdre for Divine Naga), accessible to the characters wielding them in this chapter via the Weapon Refinery mechanic.
