Valbar (Japanese: バルボ Valbo) is a playable character in Fire Emblem Gaiden. He is a knight that seeks revenge on Dahha for the death of his family.
Fire Emblem Gaiden
Role
Valbar is the first knight recruited on Celica's route. He throws himself into battle against the pirates inhabiting the region after the death of his family and having nothing else to lose[1]. He accompanies Kamui and Leon to get his revenge. If he survives the battle he joins Celica in gratitude.

- In Gaiden, promotion gains consist on giving the character as many stat points as necessary - the x value shown in the table- to reach the promoted class' base stats. If the character's stats are higher than their promoted class' base stats, they will not receive any bonus; however, if all stats are higher, then they will receive +1 to HP.
Fire Emblem Awakening
Valbar is playable as a SpotPass character, released in the Gaiden character set.
Additionally, Valbar appears as an enemy unit in the DLC chapter Lost Bloodlines 2.
