Forblaze (Japanese: フォルブレイズ Forblaze), also known as the purest fire (Japanese: 業火の理 Hellfire's Reason), is a regalia anima tome introduced in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It is one of the legendary weapons of the continent Elibe, forged in the Scouring to battle dragons, and was wielded by Athos of the Eight Legends.
History
As with the other eight legendary weapons, Forblaze was forged by humans during the Scouring for use by Athos of the Eight Legends, and during battle its power was part of the cause of the Ending Winter. After the Scouring came to an end, Athos sealed it away in a temple in his new home, Arcadia.[1]
When Bramimond released the seal on the legendary weapons to permit Eliwood and Hector to use them to defeat Nergal, Athos collected Forblaze from its resting place and used it to assist them in the fight. After Athos's death, Forblaze was placed back in its resting place, unlockable only by residents of Arcadia.[2] Twenty years later, after driving out the Bern forces led by Oates which occupied the temple, Roy obtained the tome with the assistance of Sophia, and used it in the war on Bern and the War Dragons in its service.

Forblaze is present as a skill on one card in Fire Emblem Cipher: B05-004SR Pretty Noble, Lilina. It is a manual-activation skill which can only be used once per turn. By discarding a spare Lilina card from their hand, Lilina's player may choose one non-lord dragon-type enemy and immediately destroy them, then add +60 attack power to Lilina until the end of the turn.

Trivia
- Forblaze is the only tome in the Game Boy Advance Fire Emblem games whose spell animation was completely changed in a later Game Boy Advance installment.
- In Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, examination of the game disc's contents has found that Forblaze is the internal file name of Rexflame, the game's new S-rank fire tome.
- After he is attacked by Athos, Nergal calls his magic "flame breath" in the English version. The equivalent Japanese text says Forblaze. "Breath" and "blaze" look similar in katakana (ブレス and ブレイズ), but "flame" (フレーム) and "For" (フォル) do not look much alike.
