The Dragon Child/Script
The dragon girl Fae followed the Lycian Army out of Arcadia and to the Etrurian border, which leads to her capture at the hands of Raith, a Bernese commander. Raith confiscated Fae's Dragonstone, and intends to report her identity to King Zephiel.
Merlinus receives word of Fae's imprisonment from the locals, and reports this to Roy. Igrene blames herself for this turn of events, though she hopes Fae will be safe as long as she remains in human form. This hope is shattered, however, because Bern's forces are fortifying, indicating that Fae has been discovered. Roy reassures Igrene that no one is at fault for Fae's capture, and the Lycian Army sets out to rescue her.
At the same time, Generals Perceval and Douglas arrive, if Perceval was not recruited beforehand. After Prince Myrddin's death, protecting Etruria feels meaningless to Perceval. Douglas tells him that the old Etruria will fall before the war's end, and that Perceval must lead a new Etruria to prosperity. Then, Douglas returns to Aquileia, and Perceval momentarily puts aside his doubts to pursue Roy's forces.
During the battle, the bandit Garret appears from the mountains, intending to loot villages amidst the chaos. Lilina intervenes and stops him from harming the village. Garret accuses her wish to protect people of being nothing more than hot air. In response, Lilina remains in his way and dares him to kill her. Garret is so impressed by her conviction that he gives up and joins the Lycian Army to support Lilina's ambition.
If either Elffin or Larum talk to Perceval, they will reveal Elffin's true identity as the deceased Prince Myrddin to him. Larum shows Perceval a letter written by Myrddin, proving the prince's survival and swaying Perceval to Roy's side. Elffin tells him that he was nearly assassinated and only survived thanks to Douglas, who used the opportunity to fake Myrddin's death. Then, Larum, Douglas' daughter, took him to the Western Isles, where he slowly recovered. As he lived as a simple bard, he saw the crimes of Etrurian nobles against the people of the Isles and joined the resistance. Now, Elffin supports Roy to stop Etruria's corruption, and asks Perceval to join him. Perceval accepts immediately.
After Raith is defeated and Fae is rescued, Fae cries for Roy to not return her to Arcadia. There, Fae is not allowed to leave her room, and is terribly lonely as a result. Roy scolds her for her recklessness, but ultimately allows her to stay with the Lycian Army as it would be safer than Fae making the journey back alone.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
If you did not eliminate or recruit Perceval in Chapter 13, you will encounter his group again. To recruit him in this chapter, you will need to talk with him using either Larum or Elffin. If you succeed, his four allied Cavaliers will provide a Knight Crest at the chapter's conclusion, granted they survive until the end. Recruiting Perceval this time is much simpler than in Chapter 13.
During the preparation phase, position Larum or Elffin directly above Roy. As the chapter commences, move Larum or Elffin northward. On the following turn, approach and talk to Perceval. Chances are he will approach you without being obstructed. If you manage to recruit Perceval, prioritize safeguarding the green Cavaliers. An enemy Wyvern Rider, positioned beyond the mountain, poses a threat to one of them. Once you have cleared other threats, release the Cavaliers, and they will exit via the southern border of the map.
Additionally, you can recruit Garret, a Berserker. Have Lilina converse with him quickly, or he will destroy the village that provides the unique Hammerne staff—which can restore a weapon's usage count—before the 6th turn. If Lilina cannot reach him in time, utilize Larum or Elffin's refresh to obstruct his path to the town. Engage Garret with a unit that neither harms him significantly nor is in danger from his roughly 40% critical hit rate.
Beyond this, advance strategically while relying on units with high movement and defense. There are only two enemy magic units—Valkyries—but they should still be approached cautiously. As you progress, station your units in forests for protection, and use flying units to transport slower units so they remain in the group. If enemy reinforcements become an annoyance, position some of your units on forts to block them from spawning.
If you have weapons that are effective against mounted units, like the Rapier, Horseslayer, or Spear, dealing with Raith becomes a breeze. If not, target him with ranged attackers, ensuring to heal them if their health dwindles.
Trivia
- This chapter's layout bears a significant resemblance to Chapter 15 of Thracia 776. Both are also the fifteenth chapters of their respective titles.
