Back when I was fighting alongside Lord Cuan, there was a beautiful warrior in Lord Sigurd's army. As she stood there with her long blonde hair flowing in the wind, her sheer beauty reminded me a goddess. She was the heir to the Jungby family, who had inherited the holy bow, the Ichii-bal. Her name was... Briggid...

Briggid (ブリギッド) is a noblewoman of Grandbell's Jungby dukedom, a full-blooded descendant of the Crusader Ulir, the daughter of Lord Ring, the sister of Adean and Andorey, and the inheritor of the Ichii-bal. As a child of five years of age, she was taken by pirates and eventually came to be adopted by the leader of the pirates of Orgahill; when her adoptive father died, she assumed command of the pirate group, but her kinder ways ultimately resulted in the pirates abandoning and attacking her. As she fled the pirates she encountered Adean, who had spent most of her life searching for Briggid, and accompanied her in Sigurd's army in exile to Silezha and beyond. During this time she had two children, Faval and Patty, with the former inheriting her major Ulir blood and the Ichii-bal.
Briggid disappeared in the Battle of Barhara, and was widely thought to have died in it; however, she survived but lost her memories. She came to be called Eyvel (エーヴェル), a travelling swordswoman, and eventually settled in the village of Fiana in Thracia; after freeing it from oppression by bandits, she became its leader, and founded the Fiana Militia to protect it. During this time, she rescued Mareeta from slavers and, unable to find her parents, took her in as an adopted daughter. When the exiled Prince Leaf came to Fiana, she gladly welcomed him and took to protecting him. In the year 776, when Nanna and Mareeta were taken by Leidrick, she set out with Leaf to rescue them and liberate the Thracia Peninsula, but was captured and turned to stone by Veld.
Role
During the fight between Sigurd's forces and those of King Chagall of Agustria, Briggid reprimanded her subordinate Dobarl for suggesting the Orgahil pirates take advantage of the conflict to raid villages, sparking talk of mutiny led by Dobarl and Pizarl. Following Chagall's fall at Silvail and the assumption that the Grandbell forces would now be turning against Orgahil, Dobarl and Pizarl turned on Briggid when she refused to attack, leading the pirates in mutiny against her and forcing her to flee, fighting off her pursuing former subordinates. At this time, Sigurd's army crossed into Orgahil to deal with the pirates, and Briggid was approached by Adean. Initially confused by Adean's claims about her identity, she nonetheless complied with her request to attempt to draw the Ichii-bal; doing so reawakened her memories of her true identity, and she joined Sigurd's army, wielding the Ichii-bal.
After the civil war in Silezha, Briggid discussed with Adean the actions of their brother Andorey, who had killed Ring and participated in the Silezhan conflict, and swore to personally kill him for his crimes[1]. Briggid was present at the Battle of Barhara. She apparently survived the battle, but lost her memories; this has been attributed to a pact with the Gesh, an otherwise undefined group of dragons. Six years after the Battle of Barhara, she was found washed up on the Iss coastline by locals of the area, devoid of her memories, and was rescued by the local villagers[2] Adopting the identity of Evyel, she eventually came to Fiana and, after freeing it from the bandit plague, established the Fiana Militia in its defense.

Role
While returning from a pirate-fighting mission with Leaf and the Fiana Militia, Eyvel found that Fiana had been assaulted by Leidrick and his army in their absence, and was now under their control. Though initially hesitant to let Leaf get caught in the fight, or to rush into an uncertain situation, she nonetheless decided to storm the village to retake it. Once the army was driven out, she found that Nanna and Mareeta had been taken as hostages by Leidrick. At Leaf's insistence, she decided to depart for Manster with the militia the next day, intending to rescue the two.
After the fight at Fort Kelbeth, when Leidrick arrived to capture Leaf, Eyvel voluntarily also surrendered herself to captivity in order to look after Leaf. The two and Lifis were taken to a prison in Manster, and Eyvel was taken by Leidrick to an arena in the upper castle in order to see Nanna and Mareeta. In the arena, she and Nanna were pitted against several warriors, with Leidrick promising that she could see Mareeta if the warriors were defeated; when she did so, Mareeta was let into the arena, brainwashed by the Darkness Sword and seeking to kill Eyvel; Veld then turned Eyvel to stone.
Some time later, after the defeat of Leidrick, obtaining the Kia staff and learning that Sara was capable of using it, Leaf travelled to the Lopt Sect temple to which Veld had retreated, and there found the still-petrified Eyvel and had Sara cure her. There, she reunited with the Fiana Militia, was thanked by Galzus for raising Mareeta where he could not, and was approached by Fin about her true identity. Despite Fin's certainty that he had previously known Eyvel as Briggid, Eyvel denied the possibility of being a Crusader's heir as outlandish. Nonetheless, years after the conflict ended, her memory of being Briggid returned and she was eventually reunited with Faval and Patty, now adults and the ones ruling Jungby.
Starting stats and growth rates
After being turned to stone in Chapter 5, Eyvel leaves the party for almost the rest of the game; she is rerecruitable in Chapter 24x by using the Kia staff to cure her condition.

Eyvel - The Goddess of Fiana
Eyvel returned to Fiana, and for a time lived in peace. With the end of the pact with the dragons known as the Gesh, her memory recovered seven years after the Holy War. The story of her reunion with her children has been a favorite of many bards ever since...

Trivia
- In Seisen no Keifu, Briggid is the only female parent capable of passing down major Holy Blood, and as such her son Faval is the only child character who will always possess major holy blood regardless of their father (not counting fixed characters like Yuria).
- In Thracia 776, if Eyvel is not rescued from her petrification in Chapter 24x, she will instead be turned into the Dark Warlord Fünf; as Fünf is a Sniper (her class as Briggid), not a Swordmaster (her class as Eyvel), this was likely intended as a hint at her original identity. Appropriately enough, the Awakening incarnation of Fünf actually wields Ichii-bal, some thousands of years later.
