The (Japanese: アーチナイト Arch Knight) class is a class of bow-using horseback riders exclusive to Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. It is similar to the Nomad class of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and Fire Emblem and the Bow Knight class of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. In its own games, the Arch Knight class appears along with the Free Knight (which uses swords), Lance Knight, and Axe Knight classes.

Arch knights are very useful units, being able to attack from long range while easily able to move around. Additionally, if on horseback, they can move again after attacking if they have not moved their full amount of spaces. In Thracia 776, they can dismount from their horses for several purposes, such as entering buildings and negating certain weapons' effectiveness against them. They have very balanced stats, except for low resistance, which makes them vulnerable to magic attacks.

Arch knights become bow knights in their games. The name "Bow Knight" refers to this promoted bow-using horseback class and a class almost identical to the Arch Knight class from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn.
