Project Classes Leader: Seritinajii Main - Talk Destubbing Progress - Wanted Pages |
Project Classes is a project that deals with the various classes that appear in the Fire Emblem series.
Important stuff
- Images for FE10-only classes: Who has any suggestions about these? For the classes that appear in FE9 only or first in FE9, we've been getting them from the Fire Emblem Museum. Unfortunately, it doesn't cover Radiant Dawn, so we are in trouble here.
- Over 50% of the existing class pages have been destubbed!!!

Destubbing Progress
As of May 4, 2011, all high-priority class pages are complete!
Wanted Pages
A list of known wanted class pages.
Structure of the articles
Introduction
The first paragraph should be about a few basic aspects of the class. The name of the class, its Japanese name, both written in Japanese and in English letters, the weapon it uses, and the games that they appear in.
The next paragraphs will vary depending on the class, but here are some things to write about:
- Details about when the class has appeared
- What weapons they can use in different games
- Their class change options, if any
- If they attack from close or far range, then state so and say if they can be useful attackers/defenders, or if they can/cannot be placed in the front line safely, etc.
- Their typical stats. "This class typically has high speed but low attack."
- Their skills, either inherent (like Great Shield) or learned from an Occult scroll, in FE9 (like Aether)
Infobox
Use Template:Class Infobox.
• Image: Use a generic portrait if it exists, preferably the most recent one. For classes for which no generic portrait exists, such as the Journeyman class, use a battle sprite.
- Flavor text: Use the flavor text from the most recent game. This can be found usually in the class introductions; if there is none, then too bad...
• Unit type(s): List in which type the class is considered part of like Infantry, Cavalry, or Flying. If it varies, then list all of them from the different games with "*" before each type and with "()" describing which games the class has appeared with that type. If the class appeared in Path of Radiance, it should also be noted if it is considered a Beorc or a Laguz class. For example, on the Wyvern Rider article:
|type=*Flying <small>(all titles except Radiant Dawn)</small> *Infantry <small>(replaces Flying when dismounted; Thracia 776, Three Houses)</small> *Dragon <small>(The Binding Blade, The Blazing Blade, The Sacred Stones, Awakening, Fates)</small> *Beorc <small>(Path of Radiance)</small>
makes
|type=*Flying (all titles except Radiant Dawn)
- Infantry (replaces Flying when dismounted; Thracia 776, Three Houses)
- Dragon (The Binding Blade, The Blazing Blade, The Sacred Stones, Awakening, Fates)
- Beorc (Path of Radiance)
• Weapons: List the weapons that this class can use. If it varies, then list all of them from the different games with "*" before each weapon and with "()" describing which games it can use whatever weapons in. For example, on the Mage article:
|weapons=*Tome <small>(Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Mystery of the Emblem, Shadow Dragon, New Mystery of the Emblem, Awakening)</small> *Black magic <small>(Gaiden, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia)</small> *Fire, Thunder, Wind <small>(Genealogy of the Holy War, Thracia 776, Path of Radiance)</small> *Anima <small>(The Binding Blade, The Blazing Blade, The Sacred Stones)</small> *Various, including magic <small>(Three Houses)</small> *Black magic, White magic <small>(Three Houses; specialty)</small>
makes
|weapons=*Tome (Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Mystery of the Emblem, Shadow Dragon, New Mystery of the Emblem, Awakening)
- Black magic (Gaiden, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia)
- Fire, Thunder, Wind (Genealogy of the Holy War, Thracia 776, Path of Radiance)
- Anima (The Binding Blade, The Blazing Blade, The Sacred Stones)
- Various, including magic (Three Houses)
- Black magic, White magic (Three Houses; specialty)
• Skills: List the skills the class has for each games the class has appeared in by order of release. For example, on the Pegasus Knight article:
|skills=*Canto <small>(Genealogy of the Holy War – Radiant Dawn, Three Houses)</small> *Speed +2, Relief <small>(Awakening)</small> *Speed +2, Relief, Rally Speed, Warding Blow <small>(Fates)</small> *Canto, Darting Blow, Triangle Attack <small>(Three Houses)</small> *Canto, Lancefaire, Avo +10 <small>(Three Houses enemy-only variant)</small>
makes
|skills=*Canto (Genealogy of the Holy War – Radiant Dawn, Three Houses)
- Speed +2, Relief (Awakening)
- Speed +2, Relief, Rally Speed, Warding Blow (Fates)
- Canto, Darting Blow, Triangle Attack (Three Houses)
- Canto, Lancefaire, Avo +10 (Three Houses enemy-only variant)
Stats
Use templates Template:BaseStats and Template:MaxStats for "===Base Stats===" and "===Max Stats===" respectively. For Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and Three Houses, Template:MaxStats is unnecessary.

If a stat doesn't appear for a game, don't put the stat in the template. For example, the "wt=" for the Weight stat only appeared in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn and as such, is only needed for those games. If multiple data for a stat in a single game are present, list all of them with hover templates for each variant of the class and separate them with "/". For the variants "Mounted" and "Dismounted", put the "Dismounted" stat in "()". For example, on the Mage Knight article:

Class change
Also known as promotion. Different games have different methods and branches; games should be grouped according to the progression system they use.
There are eight different templates for this section:
- Template:Class Change 1: This is for unique classes that do not promote, such as lords in the Archanea games or thieves in The Binding Blade.

EXAMPLE:
Base class |
---|
![]() Dancer |
- Template:Class Change 2: The most common promotion system; classes that promote only once go here, like nomads in the Elibe games.

EXAMPLE:
Base class | Promotion method | Advanced class |

Trivia
Put any noteworthy informations that doesn't belong in any previous section here by preceeding each sentence by "*".
Etymology and other languages
Use the Names template for each language the class was localized. If the class wasn't localized in a certain language, don't put the language in the template. If the class has multiple names across the games, put "•" before each name and separate them with <br>; do the same for the notes and precise in which games the different names are used.
