It is best to challenge this map after Chapter 8 so that Robin can get experience as a promoted class. Deploy Chrom, Robin, Sumia, and Cordelia. Note that several Barbarians will ignore you until the village is secured or destroyed, meaning you can put Cordelia in front with less concern for her safety. Your ability to save the village is entirely dependent on whether Anna manages to kill the two approaching Barbarians before she is inevitably overrun, giving Robin time to arrive and relieve her. Hawkeye (for both the Barbarians and the nearby Archer), Counter, and Pavise (for the Barbarians) are all extremely troublesome skills to face. Other than that, this is pretty much a straightforward rout map. | It is best to challenge this map after Chapter 8 so that Robin can get experience as a promoted class. The Secret Seller (Japanese: 秘密の行商人 Secret peddler) is the second paralogue chapter in Fire Emblem Awakening. As a paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. In this chapter, the Shepherds help a merchant caravan unable to reach their destination due to a group of bandits...with the assistance of a secret seller.

The Secret Seller/Script
Chrom and the Shepherds come upon a merchant who explains that bandits have blockaded the road and are extorting travelers, and the Shepherds resolve to remove the bandits and secure the trade route. The bandits and their leader Victor storm a village protected by the merchant Anna; if the player has completed Paralogue 4, Victor accuses Anna of killing his brother Vincent and swears revenge, much to her confusion. The Shepherds reinforce Anna, rout the bandits, and kill Victor. After the battle, if Paralogue 4 was not completed, Anna thanks the Shepherds and introduces herself as the "Secret Seller" before bidding them farewell; if Paralogue 4 was completed, Anna explains that she is the identical twin sister of the Anna they previously rescued, much to Chrom's confusion.

Note: The returning characters list only those recruited by the time this chapter is unlocked. As a paralogue chapter, there is no set timeframe in which the chapter must be taken on; thus, it is possible to have recruited more characters than the above by the point the chapter is started. The returning characters list also does not include any characters recruitable in other paralogues, as the player may not have taken on any other available paralogue chapters yet. The list also does not include any bonus units, as they are recruitable at the player's discretion.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
It is best to challenge this map after Chapter 8 so that Robin can get experience as a promoted class. Deploy Chrom, Robin, Sumia, and Cordelia. Sumia's job is to act as Chrom's troop transport and keep him out of danger while Robin rides Cordelia to the front lines and cleans house.
Trivia
- The nickname of the particular Anna that appears in this chapter, of the same name, may reference the secret shop mechanic of other games in the Fire Emblem series, most of which were run by a similar Anna-type merchant.
- The map of this chapter closely resembles a portion of the map of Chapter 4 of Genealogy of the Holy War.
