The Voice is defenseless in this state. We must become her shield until the rite is complete. We await your strategy, Robin. Make us as a wall of steel!

The Threat of Silence is the seventeenth paralogue chapter in Fire Emblem Awakening. As a paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. In this chapter, Tiki is performing a ritual that will channel Naga's power into her at a very inopportune time--a band of Risen show up during the ritual. It is up to the Shepherds to protect Tiki from the Risen and ensure the ritual is completed.
Plot
- Main article: The Threat of Silence/Script
In an area of southern Valm, Chrom notes the air in the area is sweet and calming, to which Lissa states it makes one want to flop down and take a huge nap. Lucina notes Lissa's words as tempting, while Robin thinks their reactions are odd--to him/her, it seems like anywhere else. Say'ri introduces the area as Naga's Cradle, said to be the place Naga herself once called home; it is here Tiki will enact a holy rite to commune with Naga and regain her power.
Tiki has taken her place and silenced herself; Lucina attempts to talk to Tiki, but Say'ri tells her to be silent, that Tiki is currently performing the rite. In doing the rite, Tiki will draw Naga's power fom the land unto herself. Lucina apologizes to Say'ri, saying she didn't realize what was going on and she thought Tiki was simply sleeping; Lucina then notes Tiki looking peaceful, and asks Say'ri what she thinks Tiki sees and possibly dreams. Chrom is about to chime in with his own thoughts when he notices incoming Risen, alerting Say'ri and Lucina that they approach from the south; the Shepherds had better get ready or Tiki is in for a rude awakening. Battle preparations take place at this point.
Once preparations are complete, Say'ri tells Robin Tiki is helpless in her current state--the Shepherds must become her shield until the rite is complete. Say'ri states that the Shepherds wait Robin's strategy, and asks him/her to make them as a wall of steel. The battle begins at this point.
Once the battle ends, Tiki will have completed her rite, at which point Say'ri will ask her if she is unharmed, to which Tiki confirms--thanks to the Shepherds. Tiki apologizes for the delay, but reveals the rite has borne fruit; Say'ri asks if Tiki has taken in Naga's power, to which Tiki says she's taken in some of it, then reveals it's strange that the power had always isolated her. Many were the days Tiki wept alone, cursing the charge placed before her; after Lucina gets a brief word in, Tiki says her power now has a purpose, and the world needs it to avoid a ruinous future, and she will offer it freely and asks if she can join the Shepherds. Lucina asks Tiki if she is certain she wants to join the Shepherds, to which Tiki confirms, saying she's had enough of living in solitude; Tiki says she's longed to better know this world and she can now help the Shepherds save it.

Character data
Note: The returning characters list only those recruited by the time this chapter is unlocked. As a paralogue chapter, there is no set timeframe in which the chapter must be taken on; thus, it is possible to have recruited more characters than the above by the point the chapter is started. The returning characters list also does not include any characters recruitable in other paralogues, as the player may not have taken on any other available paralogue chapters yet. The list also does not include any bonus units, as they are recruitable at the player's discretion.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
All enemies in this chapter will make a beeline for Tiki to kill her whenever possible—if a playable unit is in the way, they will simply fly around them to reach her. Ultimately, the best strategy for keeping Tiki safe is to form a diamond-shaped or triangle-shaped barrier of units around her. Each unit should be placed at least two spaces from her instead of adjacent to her, so that she may not be targeted by ranged weapons. A triangle formation can give you more space within for support units to maneuver; this can allow for healers to keep the team healthy outside of enemy range with Physic.
