The Golden Gaffe (Japanese: 金と銀 Gold and silver) is a downloadable content xenologue chapter in Fire Emblem Awakening. As a xenologue chapter, it does not officially bear a chapter number; if all xenologues are purchased and its list is viewed at the Outrealm Gate, The Golden Gaffe is the fourth one from the top in the North American version of the game. Officially in Japan and unofficially in North America, The Golden Gaffe is part of the first series of DLC releases, a distinction that does not exist in the PAL regions.
This chapter was first made available on May 2, 2012 in Japan, February 14, 2013 in North America, and April 25-26 in the PAL regions.
In this chapter, a wave of gold robberies lead the Shepherds into a haunted mansion populated with Risen, the thieves behind the gold robberies. As it turns out, the Shepherds aren't the only victims of this crime wave...

The Golden Gaffe/Script
Within a new Outrealm, Vincent is dismayed to find that all of his gold has been stolen. Victor suggests replenishing his funds by fighting the Risen in the nearby mansion to loot the gold they are carrying, but the twins are spooked away by the arrival of Chrom and the Shepherds. Lissa and Frederick report that their personal gold savings have been stolen and insist that Chrom lead them into battle against the thieving Risen.
Afterward, Chrom is aghast at the amount of gold his troops had apparently been hoarding that could have contributed to the war effort, until he learns that their savings amount to mere pocket change, leaving everyone puzzled as to where the mounds of coin recovered from the Risen came from. Meanwhile, Vincent and Victor bemoan that the Risen had been the ones to steal from them all along, only for the Shepherds to dispatch them before they had the chance and take all their gold, but note that since the Risen are undead, they can always come back and try again.
