Risen Chiefs (Japanese: 屍兵将 Corpse General) are a type of Risen which serve as recurring bosses in Fire Emblem Awakening. Owing to the strength-based hierarchy followed by Risen, Risen Chiefs lead their subordinate Risen by sole virtue of being stronger than the rest, and based on their limited in-game dialogue, they are also likely smarter than their underlings.

Within the vanilla Awakening game, Risen Chiefs appear as the bosses of nine maps: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 13, Chapter 24, Paralogue 3, Paralogue 12, Paralogue 16, Paralogue 17, and Paralogue 21. In the game's downloadable content, they make one further appearance as one of two bosses of Death's Embrace, alongside Algol. The Death's Embrace Risen Chief is a unique creature created by Algol as the culmination of his vile experiments on humans.[1]
