This map features Crest Stones. If an enemy waits next to Crest Stone terrain, they will obtain a Crest Stone item, which drops upon their defeat; after four Crest Stones are taken, an escape point will appear one tile south of the Flame Emperor, to which any enemy holding a Crest Stone will attempt to escape. The player is rewarded at the end of the map for preventing enemies from escaping with Crest Stones.

Strategy

This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.

Treason! The Black Eagles have been betrayed by two of their own, who will obviously not be available to participate in this battle. In any case, your primary objective is to protect the Crest Stones. Cavalry is always helpful when you need to move fast. Start off by sending troops to the northern corners of the map to attack the enemies going after the caskets on the west and east sides. Once the enemies get their grubby paws on a Crest Stone or two, they will bolt for the escape point at the south end of the map. Immediately mark anyone who gets a Crest Stone for death. Said Crest Stones don't benefit you by being in your inventory, so you can place them straight into your convoy; they will be removed and returned to the Church at the end of the chapter. Once the Crest Stones are secure, the battle becomes a fairly simple advance to the Flame Emperor. Beat their teeth in and rip that mask off to win the chapter.
