Tomas (Japanese: トマシュ Tomasz) is a non-playable character mentioned in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He was the librarian at the Garreg Mach Monastery.

Biography

Tomas was Garreg Mach Monastery's librarian, and had served in this role for over 40 years. He came to the monastery with the recommendation of House Ordelia of the Leicester Alliance. He left Garreg Mach 8 years prior to the game's events[2], and appeared to have returned to the monastery the year before Byleth arrived.

It is eventually revealed that the man the player had known as Tomas is in fact the dark mage Solon. After this revelation, Seteth theorizes that Solon may have murdered the real Tomas and used his form as a disguise, and although this hypothesis is never definitively proven, Lysithea also reports that Tomas ultimately never arrived to Ordelia territory after leaving Garreg Mach in 1172.[3]

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Role

Tomas (or rather, Solon impersonating him) is an NPC who can be interacted with at Garreg Mach Monastery from Chapters 1 to 7.

Personality

Tomas is very knowledgeable about both the books in the monastery and the monastery's affairs. He is a faithful follower of the Church of Seiros. While his personality is obfuscated by the fact that he is being impersonated by Solon throughout his acquaintance with Byleth, it can be inferred from Solon's portrayal of him that he was a kindly man who enjoyed passing knowledge on to his juniors.
