Glenn Govan Fraldarius (pronounced /glɛn/[key]; グレン Glen) is a mentioned character in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He was a member of the royal guard, and firstborn son of House Fraldarius. He was killed in the Tragedy of Duscur.
Biography
Glenn was the firstborn son of Lord Rodrigue, and the heir to House Fraldarius. When Ingrid of House Galatea was born in Imperial Year 1162, the two were arranged to be married. He was named as a knight of the royal guard at the age of 15, as he was an incredibly skilled combatant. Similarly to his brother Felix is during the events of the game, he was said to be rude, and would always seek fights with whoever was willing.
In 1176, Glenn was killed in the regicidal assassination known as the Tragedy of Duscur. His death had tremendous effects on the sole survivor of the incident, Crown Prince Dimitri, his fiancée Ingrid, and his younger brother Felix. Prince Dimitri is haunted by the sight of Glenn's body, with his face full pain and regret. Among others, Glenn would go to haunt Dimitri for the rest of his life, ultimately driving him to insanity in Silver Snow, Azure Moon, and Verdant Wind. His fiancée, Ingrid, developed a grudge against the people of Duscur after the incident, most notably against her fellow Blue Lions member, Dedue. Glenn was the knight that she aspired to be. She was so stricken with grief after the Tragedy that she didn't even leave her bedroom for an extended period time, until Sylvain's flirting forced her out to follow him and apologize for his behavior. Felix, his younger brother, was forever changed after his death. When they were younger, Glenn would read stories of chivalry and knights to Felix. After Glenn's death, however, Felix's admiration for chivalry died when his father, Rodrigue, said Glenn died a glorious of death of honor. Believing his father was romanticizing the death of his brother, Felix became more of a lone wolf, isolating himself from anyone who appreciates chivalry. He also began to hate his father as well.
