Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Anna can best be described as a jack of all trades, master of none. On the physical end, she possesses boons in swords, axes, and bows. This allows her to easily pick up high-value skills such as Vantage and Wrath for enemy phase combat, Death Blow for player phase combat, and Hit +20 for an all-around boost. However, she has no powerful combat arts to bring anything unique to the table. On the magical end, she gets the very useful Rescue spell at B Faith and has a boon in the stat, and she also boasts Meteor at A Reason, but she is let down by a devastating Reason bane. Her Authority bane is also deeply troubling and her Strength and Magic are atrocious. This combination of attributes means that Anna will never outshine the other members of your team, but she can also almost always find a way to fit into any team composition.
As a rule of thumb, her ability to grab Vantage and Wrath where other player phase nukes or Rescue bots can't is pretty much her biggest selling point. If you want her to go physical, her best option is to immediately reclass to Fighter, make her way through Mercenary, Brigand, Archer, and Warrior to grab Vantage, Death Blow, Hit +20, and Wrath, and then finish as a Sniper. This makes her a mixed phase physical unit who can delete single enemies on player phase with Hunter's Volley and reasonably nuke enemies on enemy phase with her class skills and Close Counter. If you want to make her a magic utility unit instead, reclass her to Monk and have her use magical weapons to make her way through Mercenary and Warrior before settling on Priest and Bishop as her likely final classes. While she can't really bring the full potential of Rescue out due to her trouble reaching Dark Flier, she can nevertheless provide defensive support with Rescue while having decent combat on enemy phase. You can also set her studying goals to Reason for the rest of the game if you want to try to make the long crawl from E to A through a bane; the rewards are Meteor for artillery strikes from the back line and Gremory as a statistical upgrade to Bishop.

Endings
Anna, Traveling Merchant
Anna's business savvy proved to be a great asset in the post-war reconstruction of Garreg Mach. Once the restoration was complete, she disappeared from the area entirely, though tales of a mysterious merchant were passed down in every corner of the world for centuries to come. Some say she continues her travels even to this day, eternally peddling her wares, and ever in search of the next lucrative opportunity.
Anna (if Anna was defeated in Part I in Classic Mode)
Got caught up in the battle at Garreg Mach and vanished without a trace, never to be heard from again.
