Hear My Cry (Japanese: 埋もれ狂い果てて The End of Buried Madness) is the twenty-seventh chapter of the Revelation campaign in Fire Emblem Fates. In this chapter, Corrin meets with Anankos, and the two clash.
Although the game can be saved during battle preparations, it is not possible to save the game, read supports, or return to My Castle during the next; both chapters must be completed consecutively.
Plot

The giant stone mask absorbs some form of power and begins to move. Corrin now recognizes this mask as Anankos himself. Corrin calls on Anankos to stop manipulating humans, only for him to reply that humans are weak and exist solely for that purpose, asking why he must be left forgotten why said humans thrive. Corrin attempts to answer back with the Yato, only for it to bounce off harmlessly. Anankos threatens to use Corrin as a puppet, and Xander and Ryoma attempt to protect him/her, only to be soundly knocked away in a single blast from Anankos. He then blasts Azura away as well. Corrin pleas for strength to keep protect everyone. At his/her plea, Fujin Yumi, Brynhildr, Raijinto and Siegfried all react, transforming the Yato into the Omega Yato, the legendary Fire Emblem. Corrin declares that he/she will finally end this war, and begins his/her assault on Anankos.
After his defeat, Anankos summons forth Garon in hopes of more power. Garon tells Anankos to join him in his world conquest, and Anankos scoffs at him and consumes him whole. The Nohrian siblings cry out in horror at seeing their father lost. Anankos relishes in having his full power returned to him, and threatens to crush Corrin's entire army beneath his feet. Anankos's mask breaks, and he reveals his full, enormous dragon body, destroying the throne room in the process and tearing a large void in the skies of Valla.
Summary
The brave forces from Hoshido and Nohr come together, thanks to Corrin. The long road has led to this moment. The final battle is about to begin!

Strategy

Through a combination of Rescue and Azura's Sing, it is possible to defeat Anankos in a single turn (albeit in two rounds of combat). Depending on Corrin's class, either one or two rescue rods will be needed. To reliably defeat Anankos in one turn, Corrin must reach at least 22/24 Spd before factoring the Yato's bonuses (it grants +4 when in inventory, and another +1 when equipped, just enough to double), and 49/52/53 Atk with the Yato equipped. The speed threshold shouldn't be a problem, though the attack threshold may require use of tonics and Pair Up if Corrin's strength is not high enough.
A high-movement staff user such as a Falcon Knight or a Strategist should move as far north as possible and rescue Corrin. Alternatively, if Corrin is in a class that gives a movement bonus from Pair Up, he can pair up with an 8 movement unit equipped with Movement +1 to immediately reach Anankos. Niles and Shura are available options for this, as they can immediately be promoted or reclassed into a Bow Knight. To perform this method, other unit(s) would need to defeat the centermost General, then Corrin would pair up with the 9 movement unit, and use it to ferry Corrin straight to Anankos.
Once Anankos has been reached, Corrin should attack Anankos with the Yato, which should get Anankos down to half or less HP. Another high-movement staff user would then rescue Azura up north, who then refreshes Corrin. If Anankos landed his attack, Corrin should be healed using a Physic staff. Finally, have Corrin attack Anankos once more, and he should be soundly defeated.
Trivia
- This chapter is one of few chapters in the game where the preparations theme doesn't play during that phase of setup. In this case, the music from the preceding cutscene continues onto the battle preparations screen.
- This is the only route where Garon is not the boss of Chapter 27 of a path.
