“ | Wonderful. A pithy final statement from our hero. Unfortunately this is no fairy tale, Prince/Princess Corrin. King Garon would like your head on a platter, and I'm not one to disappoint him. | ” | — Iago |

Pleasure Palace/Script
In the throne room of Castle Krakenberg, Iago tells Garon that Corrin's group has successfully crossed Mount Garou, to which Garon confirms this is something he already knows and states that Iago's tricks with his magic traps may be growing stale (in doing so revealing Iago was the one who set the magic trap that killed one of Keaton's wolfskin in the previous chapter) and suggests that Iago may be running out of ideas. Iago states that he takes full responsibility for his misstep and states that he still has more tricks up his sleeve and that he'll redeem himself by stating that he plans to ambush Corrin and his/her group shortly; Garon states that he approves of the plan but will not tolerate another failure out of Iago, after which Iago leaves the scene and Garon noting the exchange as pitiful.
We cut to the town of Macarath, to which Corrin notes appears deserted; Ryoma states that Macarath is known for gambling and stage shows much in the vein of Nestra that appears to have lost business due to the war, to which Corrin states that the army doesn't have any time to waste and that they should keep to the outskirts as much as possible, to which Ryoma agrees. Takumi suddenly starts coughing to which Corrin asks him if he is OK, to which Takumi states that everything is fine; Corrin notices that Takumi doesn't seem steady on his feet and suggests that the group should rest, to which Takumi states that he's fine before coughing and falling over.
We witness Takumi slumped onto his knees with Sakura at his side, to which Corrin calls out for help, after which Sakura shockingly asks who Takumi's condition is possible; Corrin asks Sakura what is wrong with Takumi, to which Sakura states that Takumi has a rare fever specific to this region--Sakura states that spots on his throat are one of the symptoms, that the condition is extremely serious, and that Takumi could die if he's not treated immediately. Corrin asks how Takumi could have contracted the fever, to which Sakura states he could have caught it from the wolfskin; Sakura states that wolfskin are known scavengers and their carrion is loaded with icky germs, and states that she should have noticed the symptoms a lot sooner. Takumi coughs and then states that he's probably not suffering from what Sakura thinks he is, and that it should probably go away on its own and asks Azura to singing to him, as he states it worked on him before, but Azura states that Lost in Thoughts All Alone isn't a miracle cure and it won't help in this particular instance. Sakura states that there's an herb that could reduce Takumi's fever considerably but states that she doesn't know where they could find any, to which Ryoma states that Palace Macarath should have a well-stocked apothecary; Corrin states that a Nohrian palace should be filled with Nohrians, to which Ryoma states that he hasn't seen many people in the area and suggests that the palace likewise will not be fully staffed and especially when Garon isn't in the area. Corrin states that they should check the palace out since he/she can't think of a better idea, to which Ryoma asks the army to follow him, revealing that his intelligence reports are highly detailed; Corrin asks Takumi if he can walk, to which Takumi states he can walk at least a short way, and that if they run into any Nohrians, to put his bow in his hands and take a few Nohrians out with him.
We witness Corrin, Ryoma, Jakob, and Felicia arriving into Palace Macarath, to which Corrin notes does appear to be oddly deserted; Ryoma states that, lucky as they've been thus far, Garon wouldn't leave the place completely abandoned and asks the army to remain on high alert. Corrin asks if everyone is ready, to which Ryoma states that they shouldn't dawdle as they enter the palace as there may be roving guards; once the group runs into a different room in the palace, a mysterious voice notices the group as intruders and asks that they show themselves, to which Corrin notices that the group has company and asks the group to brace themselves and be ready for anything Garon could have left, such as a monster or a trap. Corrin then notices Flora having arrived on the scene, to which Flora notices surprise at Corrin's presence while Jakob and Felicia notice surprise at Flora's presence; Flora asks why Corrin's group is in the area and states that the area is dangerous, then reveals that there's an unused room nearby and that she'll talk to the group there.
Inside the unused room, Flora tells Corrin's group that they should be safe for awhile, after which Corrin states that he misses everyone he/she knew from Nohr apart from Garon, then asks Flora what she's doing in the area; Flora reveals that the team at the Northern Fortress was disbanded after Corrin left and that she was assigned to this area, also revealing that Corrin's decision opened her eyes to what was going on and that she no longer has to see Garon daily. Flora asks the others what they're doing in the area, to which Ryoma explains Takumi's plight, to which Flora states that the apothecary is unstaffed but fully stocked and that she can sneak out whatever they need; Flora states that, after she sneaks out the medicine, she'll help Corrin's group sneak out of the back door of the palace, to which Ryoma thanks Flora. The group is attacked by a fire spell, after which Iago is revealed to be the one that wielded it; Corrin asks Iago what he wants and tells him that he's massively outnumbered, to which Iago states that Corrin is misinformed and that Corrin is the one who is massively outnumbered. Corrin asks Iago how he knew he/she was in the area, then asks if he's the one who attacked the hideout in Cheve, to which Iago stated that he wishes he could take credit, but it was someone else who led that attack; Iago then notices Flora and mocks her for being kicked out of Garon's inner circle, to which Flora states that she doesn't have anything to say to Iago. Iago states that he might consider killing Flora last, to which Flora orders Iago to leave the area at once as she's an official employee of the palace and he is not; Flora then asks Iago to consider what would happen if he were to destroy one of Garon's villas in a battle, after which Iago states that he can do anything as long as he gets results, proceeding to attack Flora directly. Upon Flora being hit, Iago asks Corrin's group as to who will take the next blow, with Flora asking Corrin's group to flee as Iago readies another attack; Iago knocks Flora down with his magic again, revealing that Flora isn't dead yet and asks Corrin's group to get to business. As Iago vows to deliver Corrin's head to Garon on a silver platter, Corrin calls the army into action; preparations take place at this point, with the battle beginning once preparations are complete.
Once the battle ends, Corrin, Sakura, and Takumi confront Iago; Corrin asks Iago as to who tipped him off to his/her location, to which Iago dances around answering, instead bidding Corrin farewell before vanishing; Corrin asks how Iago disappeared as he did, only for an offscreen Iago to imply that he had sent a double and warns Corrin that he/she could be backstabbed at any time. Corrin tells him to shut up, which he does afterwords. After Sakura and Takumi locate Flora, Corrin tells Flora that Iago's gone, but not without implying that another traitor might be among Corrin's army; as Flora stands up, Takumi tells Corrin that Iago's messing with him/her, to which Corrin states that he/she still feels uneasy. As Takumi begins huffing, Corrin asks him if his fever is coming on stronger, to which Takumi states that he feels sluggish; Sakura states that Takumi's fever is spiking, to which Flora states that she can get to the apothecary now that Iago's gone but that she doesn't know what to look for, to which Sakura follows Flora out of the room stating that she can help.
A short time later, we find Takumi in bed with Corrin, Sakura, Felicia, and Flora around him; Corrin notices Takumi sleeping soundly and states it to be a sign of the medicine working, after which those present express thanks that Takumi will recover. Flora asks Corrin where he/she is heading next, to which Corrin states that they should stick to their original plan of marching toward the capital; Flora suggests that the army should head for the Ice Tribe village first, as that village isn't controlled by Nohr and that Corrin's army could take shelter, plan their next move, and allow Takumi to further recover. Corrin asks Flora what would happen if Garon found out that the Ice Tribe was cooperating with Hoshido, to which Felicia states that the Ice Tribe is full of strong warriors that could freeze invaders in place; as Corrin suggests that they let Takumi have a little more time to rest before they head for the Ice Tribe village, Takumi mutters in his sleep what appears to be a feverish dream, to which Corrin and Sakura express worry.
