Urvan (Japanese: ウルヴァン Urvan) is a regalia axe introduced in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. It originated as the property of Greil, Ike's father, and was his favored weapon after he deserted from the Daein army.
History
Urvan was forged by an unidentified master craftsman, like many of the other regalia of Tellius.[1] It came into Greil's possession, and after Elena's death led him to slash his own tendons to prevent him from being able to ever wield a sword again, Urvan became Greil's primary weapon. In the year 655, when the Black Knight accosted him in search of Lehran's Medallion, Greil fought him wielding Urvan but was killed. Ike and Mist used Urvan as a makeshift tombstone for Greil's grave.
Three years later, following Ashera's judgement on the world, Caineghis and Giffca visited Greil's grave under the guidance of Yune. Feeling that it was what Greil would have wanted, Caineghis took Urvan and gave it to Ike, for use in Ike and Micaiah's raid on the Tower of Guidance.[2]

Ike: Hey, this is…
Caineghis: It’s called Urvan, if I remember correctly. I borrowed it from your father’s grave.
Ike: Why?
Caineghis: Honestly? I have no idea. But I felt a sudden urge to visit Greil’s grave on the morning of our journey. When I told Giffca my idea for a little side trip, he said he thought the same thing.
Giffca: I believe we were guided to your father’s grave by a divine message from the goddess.
Caineghis: When I saw your father’s axe, I was convinced that I had to take it to you. I felt that’s what your father would have wanted.
Ike: …Maybe he and my mother are looking over us from somewhere else. All right. It’s my father’s, so it’s only right that I take it." — Caineghis, Ike and Giffca, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - ↑ Nintendo Direct 1.14.2015 (YouTube video), , Published: 14 January, 2015, Retrieved: 25 January, 2015
