Along with his fellow leader of the band, Agony, he attacked Micaiah and the Dawn Brigade when they were drawn into their ruin by a voice Micaiah heard.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Trivia

  • Some of Pain's stats contrast Agony's to suggest a sort of theme of duality between the two: his earth affinity contrasts Agony's heaven affinity, his erratic type 3 biorhythm contrast's Agony's stable type 2 one, and his higher strength and defense stats contrast Agony's higher skill and speed stats.
  • Eccentric bandit pairs appear to be somewhat of a tradition in Fire Emblem series games, pairs like Pain and Agony appear in other games as well; examples include: Rose and Maggie, Paul and Jasmine, Victor and Vincent, and Llewelyn and Lloyd.
