Commander of the Daein army

Starting class

I cannot believe this! It's an army of sub-humans and beorc. It must be true that this apostle is a fake. The true apostle would never join forces with those filthy creatures!
— Goran

Goran (Japanese: ゲラン Goran) is a Daein army commander who fought in the war between the Laguz Alliance and Begnion. He led the Daein defense of Oribes Bridge against an attack by Ike and the Apostle's Army late in the war.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Goran is the boss of Part III, Chapter 11 and acts as the commander of the Daein Army units in this chapter. He must be defeated to allow Ike to seize the objective point.

Personality and character

Like most Daein soldiers, Goran is extremely loyal to Micaiah to the point of worship, believing her to be a savior whose miracles ensure that Daein will never lose. He also believes in the racism against laguz which is common in Daein and takes their alliance with Sanaki as a sign that she is a false apostle, under the belief that a true apostle would never ally with "sub-humans".

Battle quotes

Followers of the false apostle! Bow down to the miracles of our savior! As long as the Maiden of Dawn watches over us, we cannot be defeated!
— Goran, as the boss of Part III, Chapter 11 in Radiant Dawn.
Goran: Your troops fought bravely, I commend your effort.
Ike: But your force has been obliterated. I order you to retreat. Continue this fight and you will die.
Goran: Fool, the battle is not over yet! The Maiden of Dawn has helped us overcome every adversity!

— Goran, when fighting Ike in Part III, Chapter 11 of Radiant Dawn.

Death quotes

My death means nothing... The Maiden of Dawn...will bring victory... to Daein...
— Goran, as the boss of Part III, Chapter 11 in Radiant Dawn.
