Ettard (Japanese: アロンダイト Alondite) is a sword appearing only in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. It is Ike's initial personal weapon, replacing the Regal Sword of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.

Trivia
- In international releases of the Tellius games, Ettard had its name swapped with another weapon: Alondite. This confusion likely arose from the Japanese version of Path of Radiance, where Alondite—despite being called "Ettard" everywhere in the game—was assigned the internal file name of "ALONDITE". This is likely why the English localization of Path of Radiance renamed the sword in the first place. When Radiant Dawn was released in Japan, it introduced Ike's new personal sword as "Alondite", requiring that it be changed in localization since there was already an "Alondite" in English. Fittingly, it was localized as "Ettard", Alondite's original name.
- This confusion led to the Black Knight's trophy in the North American version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl erroneously stating that he wields Ettard. It was fixed to the localized name of Alondite in the PAL version.
- Out of all weapons (excluding staves) that can be legitimately obtained throughout Radiant Dawn, Ettard is the only weapon that is impossible for Yune to bless in Rebirth (3). This is due to the fact that Ettard can only be equipped by Ike, and he is forced to have Ragnell blessed instead of any other weapons in his possession.

Romanized as Alondite in the internal data of Radiant Dawn. Ostensibly derived from Arthurian mythology, where it is alleged that Alondite (alternatively spelled Arondight or Aroundight) was the name of Sir Lancelot's sword. However, this appears to be an apocryphal invention with no actual presence in the original forms of the cycle, and is believed to instead originate from the fourteenth-century poem Beves of Hamtoun.[2] |
