Kamura (Japanese: カムラ Kamura) is a general in the Daein army who fought in the Mad King's War. He led a Daein incursion into Gallian territory to lay siege to Gebal Castle, where Ike and the Greil Mercenaries were staying following the death of Greil, to abduct Elincia.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Role

Kamura is the boss of the first stage of Chapter 8. As the chapter is a defense chapter, his defeat is optional and he can be avoided. Defeating him does not end the chapter.

Personality

Kamura has a great amount of confidence in the power of Daein's army. He was impressed by Ike's successful resistance against such overwhelming numbers with only a small number of allies working with him,[1] but could not understand how his army was quickly overwhelmed by only Lethe and Mordecai.[2] He believes that the commander of an army has no business fighting on the front lines as a practical matter of war, and that Ike's insistence on fighting with his troops is childish and meaningless.[3]

Quotes

Battle quotes

What? They still resist? Impossible! Fight, dogs! Focus! Focus and press forward!
— Kamura, as the boss of Chapter 8 in Path of Radiance.
Kamura: You fool... What are you doing on the front line? This is no place for an officer! If you die, your army loses. Soldiers fight; officers lead. That is the foundation of war!
Ike: Hate to tell you this, but I'm not an officer, and I'm not in the military. I fight with my men, and I bleed with my men. I lead the Greil Mercenaries. If I can't fight, I've no right to lead.
Kamura: Bah! This is war, not some child's game! The only thing that matters here is who fights and who dies.

— Kamura, when fighting Ike in Chapter 8 of Path of Radiance.

Death quotes

Urgh...aaa... Glory to...to...Daein...
— Kamura, as the boss of Chapter 8 in Path of Radiance.
