“ | Oh... so they've sniffed out our plan, have they? Which means they're not an opponent that will be easily fooled. We'll need something special. | ” | — Dakova |

Dakova is the boss of Chapter 5 of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and a general of the Daein army. He is an observant, competent officer who knows his place and follows orders. He and his men were sent by Petrine to retrieve Princess Elincia unharmed from the Greil Mercenaries' fort. Having surrounded the fort, Dakova and his men await the actions of the mercenaries. When Ike leads a party of the mercenaries out of the fort, Dakova is forced to change his plans, and quickly adjusts his battle strategy.
If Dakova lives through his encounter with the Greil Mercenaries, he is later seen apologizing to Petrine for failing his mission. Petrine reminds him of the Daein army's motto - "Success or failure, life or death", then orders him out of her sight, presumably dead.
