Great Heroism is the nineteenth paralogue chapter of Fire Emblem Fates. As a paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. The chapter is unlocked after both clearing chapter 7 in Conquest or clearing chapter 14 in Revelation, and have Arthurmarried.
Here, Ace! Come to Percy. Come on, come to Percy. Good dragon. You're my only real friend. 'Specially since Pop never visits... Uh? What, Ace? Trying to make me feel better? Golly, thanks a bunch, Ace! You always know just what to roar! You're the best buddy ever. With you as my sidekick, nothing's gonna get me down! I'm done obeying Pop's dumb rules. Which includes staying here in my Deeprealm. Let's get outta here, Ace!
In this chapter, Percy, tired of his father Arthur's neglect, flees his Deeprealm and convinces a band of mercenaries that Arthur is the criminal Gazak.
During a routine visit to his son Percy's Deeprealm, Arthur discovers that Percy has abandoned the Deeprealm. He tracks him down and attempts to convince him to return, but Percy, tired of Arthur's neglect, declares him his archnemesis and flees. Arthur attempts to enlist the aid of some nearby mercenaries, but they mistake him for the notorious bandit leader Gazak. Arthur attempts to have Percy clear up the confusion, but Percy confirms their story and attacks them. A dumbfounded Silas realizes they have no choice but to bail Arthur out.
Dragon Veins are scattered throughout the map. When the first one is triggered, a mercenary immediately recognizes that whoever activated it is part of the royal family and apologizes for the misunderstanding. He pays the army in gold and reveals that his allies may be convinced in the same way.
After Percy is defeated, Arthur apologizes to his son for not visiting because he thought leaving Percy in the Deeprealms was for the best. He offers Percy the opportunity to leave his Deeprealm for good, which Percy accepts. After this conversation, Ace, Percy's wyvern, attacks Arthur, but Percy convinces him not to eat him. Silas is glad that this conflict got resolved and hopes that this is the last father-son conflict the army will have.
Summary
Percy, frustrated that his father, Arthur, doesn't visit often, tricks mercenaries into attacking Arthur after convincing them he's a bandit leader.

Defeat: Corrin is defeated (Classic), or the army is routed (Casual).
Note: Felicia is available if Corrin is male, Jakob is also available after Chapter 15 is completed.
Note 2: The returning characters list only those recruited by the time this chapter can first be unlocked (after completing chapter 7 in Conquest or after completing chapter 14 in Revelation). As a paralogue chapter, there is no set timeframe in which the chapter must be taken on; thus, it is possible to have recruited more characters than the above by the point the chapter is started. The returning characters list also does not include any characters recruitable in other paralogues, as the player may not have taken on any other available paralogue chapters yet. The list also does not include any bonus units, as they are recruitable at the player's discretion.
Note 3: If Arthur is still alive, he is a required party member for this chapter.
When any of these Dragon Veins are triggered, any enemy within 3 spaces of the Vein will automatically flee the map and pay 500 gold to the player.
Enemy data
Note: The following enemies' levels are those assuming the player plays this chapter closer to chapter 7 than closer to the final chapter. Levels may be higher depending on progress along the main story path.
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
Trivia
It is possible to actually deploy the actual Gazak in this chapter alongside the characterPercy has led the mercenary group to believe is Gazak. As Gazak is a bonus unit, nothing special happens in such an instance.
